In my opinion there's not much in life more simple yet satisfying than the sound, feel and look of a perfect plane shaving coming through. It's crazy. Great work too mate.
EVERYTIME! Watching one of your videos I get exited and dream about the day I will be good as you are. Such a great craftsman and unrivalled attention to details . Congratulations on you new sharpening stones!
J’adore Les prises de vue sont artistiques, visuellement les mises en place sont parfaites, un copeau qui tombe, un trusquin qui se pose… c’est de la poésie à l’état pur… et pas de blabla ! Merci 🙏
Love the video, very relaxing and inspiring. I love the fact you do great work without a bunch of expensive tools and gadgets. You have taken great care of your Clifton plane. Mixing both Eastern and Western tools and techniques is very interesting.
It's a very satisfying feeling building something entirely with hand tools. I remember my Dad doing this when i was at a young age. At 86 years old he still has his projects on the go, every day he's in his shop. Beets sitting in front of the TV! And yes the very satisfying sound of a plane is a treat. Love your videos, cheers to your video editing! Than you...
Good morning, I have been a ship model manufacturer for about 30 years. I am amazed at the mastery and precision you have building these beautiful boxes. I tried too but I can’t match the joints perfectly. My compliments for your accuracy
Ein toller Kanal, wunderschöne Projekte ! Meist angenehme, ruhige, klassische Musik. schöne T-Shirts. Ich erahne einen interessanten, achtsamen, reflektierten, spannenden Menschen hinter dem Kanal
Another inspirational pencil box...beautiful!!!...its great to watch how you put your heart into making these...can't wait to see more...keep up the great work and thanks for sharing
I have really enjoyed your videos! Watching your joinery come together is very cool. Keep up the beautiful projects! (Love the T-shirt too, The Ultimate Answer)
Toujours aussi fan de ton travail et de la qualité de tes vidéos! Félicitations Peut-être une petite remarque, une page de pub de moins aurait été appréciable, ça pourrait faire fuir quelques abonnés! 😉
This man is an anomaly. He obviously has great skills as a woodworker and an appreciation and understanding of traditional hand tools. But he also has the look of a "Kyle" who's fridge is stocked with monster energy drinks but he drinks them out of a Meiji era hand made teacup while watching the sunrise during his morning meditation. Never judge a book by its cover.
You really have to stop resawing and rip cutting thicker boars with a medium size ryoba saw. You can get a big Kataba Tatebiki if you want to stay with the japanese saws or some old vintage big Diston rip saw, but i recommend an european frame saw (turn saw,) either find an old big tooth blade or modify a farmer's bow saw blade, and you will be a lot happier to almost match bandsaw speeds once you master it.
