We head to Broome briefly to get our windscreen fixed. Just in time before a big storm rolls in, which ends up shutting The Gibb River Road!
We then head up to Pender Bay, a beautiful offgrid escape on the Dampier Peninsula.

Great spot and the cooler weather is OK for a change although the wind along the whole WA coast can be a PITA. The cape north of B-Town is a favourite place to explore if you can find a spot like you did. Great episode. I'm really enjoying this series but long tom is (IMO) neighbour's fish by any assessment!

WA = windy always 😂 northern WA is just spectacular isn't it! The landscapes are just breathtaking. Yeah not sure I would go to the effort of cooking up a long Tom again, but when you don't caught a lot of fish you take what you can get 🤣 thanks for watching mate! 🍻

Really enjoying your big trip series 😊. My wife actually caught one of those Long Toms once, which was the end of her short fishing career, after her previous catch was blue ring octopus 😂. Random question, what is that blue kettle you have at the end? We are looking to replace ours ?

Thanks mate!! Sounds like your wife caught more than I ever do in her short fishing career 😂 the kettle is just from Kmart. It is a collapsible one and I think it cost us $15. We have had it nearly 3 years and it works a treat. Good old kmart! Thanks for watching 🍻

Not one fish but two, now you're just showing off! Love your choice in music BTW, lends itself beautifully to the scenes. So many travel channels seem to think that the only music is hard rock boganesq style and turned all the way up, arghhhhhhhhh. Anyway, great video as always, thanks for sharing.

Love your episodes. We loved Broome and were delayed there for repairs to the car and we finally decided to check our awning and needed to order some poles as they were out of stock in the shops. We love cable beach and it was a very pleasant place to be "stuck" for 3 weeks. We also love and are intending on getting back to cliff head. when we were there it was a free camp but now its 20.00 per vehicle per night. We also travelled with a little dog and did a small amount of dog sitting, usually acase of you mind my dog today and i will mind yours tomorrow or similar. I have a question How long did you plan on this trip taking in total and how long are you into it so far. I joined you channel when you were doing the great central road. Thank you Craig and Miranda for sharing this we love watching.

Thanks Joanne! Broome definitely is a great place to be "stuck". It is a great town, and has such a cool vibe to it. We went there a couple of years ago and loved the beautiful sunsets down at Cable Beach. What a great idea in helping fellow travelers out with dog sitting, it would be hard if you can't take your dog somewhere and don't want to leave them in the van for the day. We were able to get 18 weeks off of work for this trip. We are unfortunately home now, but still catching up on the videos 😊 I think when we were at Pender Bay we were about 14 weeks into the trip. Just watching the second half of this little beauty while in the swag mid week camp , rudely interrupted last night by what’s commonly known as old man syndrome ( can’t keep the eyes open ) . Keep it up guys , look forward to each episode 👍🏼

I am intrigued to know what you do for bathroom facilities when you are camping in areas with no facilities? I can’t imagine being in areas of high humidity and not being able to shower! Also toilets? We have a van with shower and toilet so this is not an issue but I’m sure your camper trailer would have neither!!

We do have an outdoor shower, so we have a tent that comes off the boat rack of the camper that becomes our "bathroom", we also travel with a portapotti so we are ok if we go to places without facilities 😁 not quite as nice as a shower set up in a caravan but on hot nights it is quite nice to shower under the stars 😂

We also have a Robbo and the shower and toilet set up is surprisingly good , no different to a caravan really except it’s outside in privacy tents & showering under the stars is the best

@@lorrainedraper82 It does work well and great and it is nice being outside while having a shower 🌟🌟 though on cold windy days I do wish we had an indoor shower 😂
