Penelope's BIG Surgery Day (She Waited Years for This) 

It's a huge thing to get adopted as a teen girl, to trust stange people with a foreign language and leave the country with them into an unknown future. And it's a huge thing to let doctors do a big surgery in the face/mouth. Penelope, you took on a lot of very long journeys at an age, other kids fight with their parents about sneakers or cry about a pimple on the nose. Not many of us have experienced only one oft those journeys. You can be proud of yourself and everything you achieve! I hope there will be no complications on your long recovery and any pain will stand behind in respect of your braveness. And if you ever ask yourself "why me?"........ Because you are strong, you are good and you are worth it, you deserve to have a wonderful life!

I had a cleft palate when I was born. The surgery was able to be done when I was just 2/3. Later as an adult I choose to get surgery for a tune-up...omg..i would have never chosen to do it had I known recovery is harder the older you are. Mak2rs mr sad when I hear about others that do not have the same privilege to get surgery when they are young. I am so grateful i had access to healthcare

This girls stronger than me!! I was so anxious going to WALGREENS to get my immunization shots!! I was so sweaty I felt like I was sitting in a puddle of sweat while the guy gave me my ONE small little shot. This girl is joking around before a surgery? Truly inspirational!! 💛
