listening to junkyard 2 during my “i won’t make it to montreal” phase and then listening to this song when i’m trying my best to be in my “i think i might live to be 30” phase is so healing !! i love her music so much
"and you hear it in the hyperpop, but they were always kinda waiting for the beat to drop" I THOUGHT NOTHING COULD TOP THE REAGAN DAYS VERSE BUT I WAS WRONG
I think she sang an old version of it at a concert or event a couple years ago? There's a few vids of it. Pretty sure she scrapped the og and used the melody for American health care, or atleast bits of it. Really glad the lyrics eventually became its own song tho :))
Honestly I love your music, and you are definitely my favorite artist. Your music just feels so refreshing and real, as opposed to the fake-sounding music that I hear a lot.
ALBUM REVIEW, TRACK 5: Runaway this song is an audible stank face. it gets better every second and honestly tops every song for reasons i cant even pinpoint. the witty and petty lyrics that are also a little dark after a second at laughing at them but then the really sweet ones in contrast, the piano reminding me of the one off the first american healthcare, the agressiveness and the passion in this song I LOVE IT. everything about this song i love it. this is one of those tracks where i dont really know what i love about it but i really really like it. this is a good 9/10, but a different 9 than cabaret? you get it, im sure.
I desperately want sheet music for this it sounds gorgeous and I’m so impressed at how great Penelope is at writing piano accompaniments to her songs. 11/10 work, I love this song so much.
"olive soaked in sweet vermouth; a telltale sign of a wasted youth." Penelope do you want me to kms why are you so good??? earworms and brainrot can't begin to describe my feelings
