She is coming back for season 4! The writers said they know she’s a big part of the show so they’re bringing her back in flashbacks (I think)? Either that or she’s a ghost so I’m guessing it’s the flashbacks.
At first Joe was really trying and she got in the way of that pretty heavily, she also tried to keep him in the relationship by paralyzing him? Also she wanted another baby which-
Victoria pedretti has the most convincing facial expression ever. Her eyes can speak and can convey what she really feels inside. If she's around during the silent film era, she could be the best star around it.
I agree!!! So many of her works like the haunting series are just amazing - the way she conveys emotion and feelings with just her mouth and her eyebrows is pretty impressive to me
She’s such a tough act to follow. Going to miss her being part of the show. She’s such a talented actress I hope this series opens up opportunities for her career
in fact what opened up opportunities for her was the series "The Haunting of Hill House". After her success as a protagonist, she was selected to live Love in You, and after that she starred in "The Haunting of Bly Manor" which was very successful. She has become a darling of Netflix
Joe couldn't love Love after he discovered what she was because he struggles to love himself. She was a female reflection of him and it repulsed him. They were perfect for each other, but he'll continue to search for what he thinks he wants...get bored then rinse and repeat, it will never end.
Lol wtf is wrong with you people? "They were perfect for each other" ? They literally got hot from killing other people, how dysfunctional are you that you don't recognize a toxic rship...I swear the scariest thing about this show is people's comments on it
definitely not going to be the same, i’m more mad at Joe for killing her than any other woman he has murdered 😂😂 and she’s an actual murderer too unlike the rest
@@blckgirlmagic THAT’S what frustrating about it. He had it all, an actually compatible true love who loved every part of him, and he threw it all away.
@@freshPrincess626 Seriously, thats another reason I'm over him. Like he says his main fear is someone finding out who he really is and them leaving because of it. Okay Love saw all that, loved & accepted him, even killed for him. But then he was disgusted with her? Like are you serious, you freaking creep weirdo murder are disgusted when someone matches your energy? He must see himself in her, he expresses how he hates that part of him. But again you'd think he'd finally be content with someone like Love. But no, so I'm starting to think it's not even about him being traumatized, he's just flat out a psychopath serial killer.
Victoria Pedretti is so mature! I keep forgetting that she's so young. Where other actors her age are playing high school students, she has to get into a widow/wife/mother/serial killers mind.
@@eoghanhoban2557 Well, see if Joe didn't trust love, you think love trusted him, so maybe he took an antidote and waited for Joe to leave so I can leave
Joe and Love are definitely soulmates, different sides of the same coin, they get each other in ways no one else will. Joe just will never admit that his soulmate is different from the version he created in his mind
@@Caineea not just that but they both had similar experiences with rough childhoods, even though they had different circumstances. but then they also kill people so they have that for bonding material too 😅
@@Caineea she knew every part of him and loved and accepted him. He could be himself with her (crazy, murderous, and all)… but he didn’t accept her. So in that sense, they weren’t soulmates. It was one sided
But Joe certainly brings out the worst in Love. Love's behavior was like I kill someone and he will take care of the body . And I think Joe doesn't necessarily like a person rather his own though he had of romance. The person who most appropriate for that certain image he becomes obsesse with her
Poor Penn and Victoria, I've seen most interviews with them about the third season and they seem to have taken place on the same day, they look so tired, they should've spread them out a little, so crushed we won't be seeing Victoria in the show anymore, she was iconic.
@intj 5w6 Joe literally narrates the outcome of what happened following the incident. She is found out, it was written on the newspapers. I liked her character too but you can’t be in denial
I love Victoria because she truly understands her character so well. What she said about Love making active choices itself and not to feel too sorry for her is true.
I really love that they’re asking each other questions in this video! Since they have a better understanding of the show, I feel like the questions and answers felt deeper and more interesting to listen to
Absolutely! It wasn’t the same questions that they must get tired of answering. I really liked hearing the questions they had for each other just as much as the answers. Reveals a lot about their process and hopefully they got something out of it too
Penn Badgley is incredible as Joe, his performance is insanely underrated, I wish more people saw this show, even if it’s solely for him because he really is phenomenal as the character.
I think it would’ve been cool if love is still alive, say she took the adrenaline right before the house went down and she escaped from the back so she wouldn’t be caught by the cops and she’s on the run to find joe and Henry and show her part and his part at the same time, I hope the writers bring her back. It’s not gonna be the same without love:(
Mhm, it’s really weird though and highly unlikely that she’d be alive and had managed to escape because at the end, Joe narrates what happened after he set fire to the house and the future of Madre Linda and he does say that Love is found dead with the suicide note and everything and Joe’s body is never found (obvi) but his toes are proven to be his through a DNA test. Then they show everyone’s life in the suburb and it brings a sense of closure and no hint of mystery otherwise it would’ve lingered on the faces of the characters towards the end. And apart from that I do think it would be quite repetitive cuz that’s exactly what happened with Candace in the finale of season 1.
@@XAEKVIIILYN Yeah, bringing Love back wouldn't work for all the reasons you stated. It wouldn't make sense and would be incredibly repetitive. Love's arc ended perfectly, she doesn't need to become Candace 2.0.
@@XAEKVIIILYN it never says her body was found it says only 2 human toes where found in the house which were linked to joes she could well be alive I think she’s too smart to try poison joe without a back up and plus if the poison was on the knife how come she wasn’t paralysed when she cut the chicken
Victoria Pedretti is my favourite new actress of recent years. I've absolutely adored her in everything I've seen her in so far: Hill House, Bly Manor, You, she steals the show every time. Beautiful, smart and talented, I hope she goes on to have an amazing career.
hear me out: love deserves her own show. like penn says, this was joes show. we only got a taste of love and then it was immediately cut off. she’s a powerful & influential character and she really needs her own show. netflix get on it.
I remember when love was introduced I couldn't really focus on her as I was still 'grieving' beck. but ultimately, I fell in love with love. who am I going to love in season 4?
Penn is right next season is going to suck without Love. The chemistry of them on screen and in interviews is amazing. At the end of the second season I started to hate Joe a lot but this season it disgusts me. I don't know why but I love and I already miss Love very much, she is my favorite character in the whole series along with its 3 seasons
For me it's the complete opposite. I liked Love in S2 but in S3 she annoyed me so much, towards the end I was thinking "when is she going to get killed" so idk. I am going to miss their dynamic but not Love.
I think Love not being in the future of the show may hurt it, what should've happened is she either should've died in S2 or simply kept her alive the rest of the show, she became just as important as Joe even though he's the main character. It felt pointless to kill her.
And this is why the show was so freaking exciting. We can discuss about values, moral and human behavior...and we won`t finish. I was surprised by the end that was given to Love and it was a perfect speech, however i'll miss her character. Capable of overcome Joe and his game. Now that the show is literally in the other side of the world, i'm looking forward to the new script. See you soon, S4.🤗
Joe's got enemies everywhere. Ellie, Dottie, Theo & Matthew, Sherry & Cary, Marienne would never accept him. Season 4 will be the last season I feel like.
@@mr.mayhem6755 i get why you would say that, but it is not conformed that they think that. Ellie is definitely smart enough to figure out everything about Joe. It is exciting to see what season 4 will bring us
As much as I hate thinking of this... I feel as though the 4th season should be the last season. Either they rehabilitate Joe. Or, have him killed. He seems as though he wants to be different but doesn't have the tools. I Wonder how this is going to play out?
I love how we were able to really see how in denial & delusional joe is this season. Weve seen it a little bit with the other seasons but this season went deeper. With him & Love basically being the same, doing the same horrible things, he views Love as a monster but not himself. He thinks Love does things because she's evil, but he thinks he does them because he "cares"
I really do love the way Victoria describes her role and thought process at the end of her character’s arc of the story. The series isn’t even over but I have a sense of mourning or maybe more of a emptiness now that this season is over that I usually feel more at the end of a series more like how I felt at the end of GoT. Maybe it’s because of the similar circumstances that occurred in the end of this season and that of at the end of that series, but I really will miss the character of Love and how I feel right now really speaks volume to how much I cared about the character and how Victoria brought her to life. Looking forward to season 4, but I really wish we could’ve seen more of Love and we’ll never forget her story or character ❤️
I loved their chemistry on screen. I think the majority of fans love these two, despite their character’s flaws together. I hope to see them together in something else. You can’t fake chemistry and these two had it.
6:30 it’s so funny to hear her explain how one shouldn’t sympathize with her death yet all these comments are people saying “no why did she have to die” lol I love the actress too but it’s like everyone is forgetting love is literally a monster and kills women when she’s jealous and so is Joe we should be wishing for them all to get served. 😂😂 we do NOT need her character back
or maybe Love was a more interesting character than Joe? We've already seen Joe's boring obsession antics too many times it was fresh to see how someone like Love operates and now people are sad that an interesting character is gone
@@heymikkao her emotions brought the show to life. Now we see that Joe is an emotionless zombie, but that was easy to block out before Love came into the show.
Victoria really understands her character. I like how she is able to talk about her character without judging and it translates onscreen in her convincing portrayal. She's my new fav actress. Hope she stays authentic.
Definitely going to be me next season…”this show SUCKS without Love now” 🤣 But Penn and Victoria together are on screen magic. I enjoyed them acting together and having this conversation. This sit down was amazing!
Victoria is such an incredible talent!!! I can't believe this show had Victoria Pedretti and Jenna Ortega in the same season... two of my favorite actors under 30!!!
I’m not really the type to be crazy about actors, but I love them both 🤍 so intelligent, articulate, and emotionally sensitive- theyre both deep thinkers and philosophical, which made their portrayal of the characters so effective and convincing! theyre both gonna go far, I’m excited for their futures
Honestly the end should've been this season, I don't think there's much for Joe in the world without the mother of his own child, and I feel like Love and Joe were made for each other, they both have seen each other kill other people and they've always been a team. Imo, the end should've been both dead, or both alive.
Him knowing to take adrenaline was plot armor. Love should have come out victorious in that fight. I understand how they couldn’t continue with her though because the seasons would get repetitive and she was just being super sloppy. I also wish she could have gone to real therapy and maybe get on meds to stable her mood.
i think we don't fully understand how great this duo is - both of the characters are awesome but when they come together is something else, the chemistry between this two is rarely seen and tho it makes me sad that love is dead now, it made me happy that we got to witness something like this. Victoria i love you.
They are exquisite together. Such a great chemistry! That make you believe actually was happening. He is so good and she is a mazing. I was impressed. I just love them. I wish that love had her spin off . It would be interesting.
He’s not wrong. I think the next “you”, the next girl, is going to be a real tough act to follow. Love was amazing and it’s going to be really hard to love the season with her gone.
penn doesn’t get enough recognition that he deserves in acting. i can’t even begin to describe how long i waited to watch this series because dan humphrey from gg made me almost hate penn irl, he is SO good at what he does with his characters.
I really thought the show would go that direction but then again The show does revolve around Joe but after season 2 I honestly never thought that Love Quinn would die off
Joe might be the main character but Love stole the show, that's what Victoria does best, she draws you in and you can't help but love her characters, she's so charismatic and talented. I won't keep watching without her, no hard feelings, I just came for her and left for her.
Joe is such a love bomber ❤ 💣 He falls out of love just as fast as he dives in. He will never be satisfied, he always craves more. When is more, enough?
I really hope they bring love back. Shes just like Joe. She thinks like Joe. I have a hard time believing that she didn't prepare for the possible outcome of Joe using the wolfsbane on her. I feel like love would've taken precautions too. I really hope they bring her back somehow, its not going to be the same without love.
This show was such a pleasant surprise for me. I gave it chance out of boredom & ended up binge watching all 3 seasons in less than a month! So well done. Bravo! 👌
I kind of got the idea that either Love would kill Joe or Joe would kill Love and when it came true, I was actually shocked that it happened even though I had some idea about it
Victoria and Penn will be one of those tv couples that get referenced a lot in subsequent years. The amount of work and time they spent building such a realistic chemistry is astonishing. I’ve worked with actors before and the way they build these characters up from the original draft is astonishing.
I don’t mean to say this to disrespect them and their personal lives but I truly love Penn and Victoria together to the point where I wished they were actually together in real life. They’re perfect for each other
Victoria my queen you were the reason the show got good 😂 Not sure I will keep watching. Penn is amazing but the show wouldn't be as good, like mac with no cheese.
I thought Beck did a great job too! But the real award here goes to Penn, he made Joe not only interesting as a killer but empathetic as someone who is just looking for their soul mate, instead of just the vicious female murderer he truly is! (Also perhaps more of us ladies need to get real about the need for therapy on being drawn to bad boys. 😂)
@@cecegreen3831 we will prevail!!! And who knows, perhaps we can even break the curse of not being able to get passed season 3 or 4. We have enough viewers, right?!
Season 3 was like a game of how Love and Joe would build some kind of a moral compass on how they would be as a family and end up defying everything they swore they would be. The only difference between Joe and Love is Joe was self aware that he is not the right person to parent Henry But if Love had killed Joe she would delude herself into thinking that she is the best mother for her child. It's almost sad how she didn't want to be like her mom and if she were alive she would exactly end up like her.
I think Love realized she would never be a good mother, she said that right before her death. And her saying how they were bad for their son actually influenced Joe’s decision to leave Henry with Dante and his husband. So I guess they were both trying to be good parents in the beginning but realized the impossibility of it in the end.
@@shj7584 Yes she did, But I feel like she only said that because she was dying. According to her plan she wanted to live with Joe while he was paralysed and have the perfect family. But she felt he didn't deserve that. Only when she was dying she said that. I'm just speculating based on her behaviour throughout the whole season If she were alive she would not have given her child to anyone. Also from the beginning Joe was never sure about being a father, He truly believed his son hated him and at one point even Love says that "Babies feel these things you know". That's why I said Joe is a little more self aware than Love about not being a good parent. (Both are equally bad and toxic.. just saying)
@@leaderofanewregime6212 Yes she did but only under the circumstances of her dying. But Joe was unsure and felt his baby hated him (projecting) from the beginning. But Love felt it in her heart that she would be the best mother. Her wanting to have a second kid just goes to prove that she thinks she's a good mother. When all the other parts of her life were falling apart she thought being a mother again would fix that. Which would be very toxic for her son and her mental health(it's not like she was mentally healthy but just sayin)Love and Joe are equally toxic and bad for the people around them but what drives them to make those choices is interesting to think about.
@@MS-bx5vg You might be right but I think that Joe thought he would be able to be a good father all along, he wanted to run away with Henry thinking that he would be better for their son than Love. It just proves that he was equally delusional. He did have doubts but that’s normal even for sane parents. And we don’t get Love’s POV but I guess she was also unsure of their suitability for Henry, remember the episode where she kept asking Joe whether she was a good mother?
I like that in this interview, Penn had the space to dig a little deeper into Joe as a character instead of just saying "I hate him" so the die-hard fans don't idolize a murderer. I don't think there can be a happy ending for Joe, but the best option to me would probably be realization and regret. For him to get help of some kind that allows him to see what he's actually done. Because I don't think that's impossible for him - he was trying hard to change and analyse his own behaviour but he didn't succeed. And he doesn't seem incapable of empathy either. This definitely requires him to feel miserable at first, but maybe it allows him to find inner peace eventually and then idk, spend 30 years in prison and try to fix as much as he possibly can as a senior? Ok this is too optimistic, right... Maybe suicide? I wouldn't be happy if he was just being killed by anyone without understanding why. He definitely should come to terms with what he's done and who he is.
I find that funny sometimes too but it’s just pretending to be someone you’re not. All those characters fake just like the actor Tobey Maguire who’s a real person who pretends to be peter Parker/Spider-Man 😂
LOVE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE SHOW! She really deserved it and I was so ready to see that happen. I was amazed when in season 2 they made us know that Love was also a murderer, it's like she was his equal. Victoria's performance was so exquisite that I felt the need to see her other projects and I take my hat off for that woman. In my opinion, the end was what everyone expected... nothing new. I think it would have been AMAZING if Love killed Joe and SHE TOOK OVER THE SHOW. I think it would have been very interesting to have that plot twist and it would have been so ironic for Joe to be killed for his equal, for his soulmate. Seeing Victoria as the leader of season 4, as "the new Joe" would have been perfect, but I think the world is not ready for that yet.
I really hope Love won't come back. I liked her character as a villain but after the way season 3 ended, it just wouldn't make sense for her to be back since they discovered her body. Also, if she came back, she would just become Candace 2.0 and it would be extremely repetitive. The end felt like a natural ending for her character, there's no reason to bring her back.
I kind of disagree. Its kind of boring for me for Joe playing this predator stalker and Love brings his protective side of his murderer self. I was hoping they would just continue their murderous family as Henry grows up. That's just my opinion. 😅
The show is repetitive. Since season 1 is all about Joe's obsession. The fun was when he found out that Love was just like him. Now we are gonna comeback to the same modus operandi. Its boring.
@@thamatiass I genuinely find sad that some people think only Love made the show good. The "same modus operandi" as you say is what Joe is all about. He will NEVER be satisfied with one woman, he's always gonna lose interest after a while, that's just the way he is. You essentially wanted the writing to change just because of one other character. Glad they didn't go that route.
