I haven’t seen the updated handles, should be interchangeable with gen2 counterparts as they use the same 2spd mechanism. Thanks for the heads up.

They’re round nose pliers. But I recommend snap ring pliers which are about the same price. There’s one on Amazon that has a varsity head kit. ABN Snap Ring. Hope that helps.

The visx has a softer rubber material feel, the squall is more solid plastic type feel. If I had bigger hands, I’d go for the squall which is close to Alan Tani’s and Tiburon’s delrin. With my smaller hands 😆, I prefer the visx grip contour. I have the larger VISX20-50 size for my visx 16 and even though larger. The contour seems to fit like a glove. Hope that helps, also a note. gen2 Fathoms should be released in fall season. They’ll come with visx handles from factory if you want an upgrade. Please also check my vid on the 5mm spacer replacement needed to make the Visx handle work for the Fathom. The factory spacer is 4mm so the 5mm is to match the width of the visx handle arm bar. Thank you sir. Just ordered from mystic parts. Can’t wait to upgrade the handle. I just did a tuna trip about 3 weeks ago. I hooked up to multiple yellowfin and blackfin. The reel did it’s job and the handle was good enough to land the fish but a bigger handle would probably been even better. I wonder if I can upgrade my 12/0 with this handle.

@@petera1117 lol, it's a nice cheaper alternative. I do like the visx comfort and softer grip. Can't wait to test out this squall handle this season.

@@tailhook44 Awesome and def agreed factory handle is plenty adequate. Which area were you fishing out of? I'm looking at 12/0 and it's similar to my 113h 4/0, where it has two sides that circle shaped vs flat. May not be a direct fit.

Hi Anh, yes this will work on Fathom 25n and also the 15xn. I put the factory 60ld handle (same size as 40n) on my 25n. The football knob size on 40n and 60 are bigger than 15x and 25n. Also consider the international visx 12/16 handle as the grip is more slim profile. Thanks for watching 🤙
