The Penn State ORV Lot is located near the Main campus and across the street and walking distance from Beaver Stadium. The parking passes can be purchased on sites like Stubhub.
To access the lot take the innovation park exit from Rt. 322 to Orchard Rd. and enter at the north gate.
The attendant will check you in and direct you to an available spot. The interior parking area is tight so if your plan is to leave early Sunday then ask for a spot near the entrance or perimeter.
There are no dump stations, water, sewer or electric hookups in the lot so all RV ’s must be completely self contained for the duration of the stay.
Porta potty’s are located throughout the lot and free recycling and trash bags are provided as well.
Generators are permitted to run from 7am-Midnight.
Most restaurants and shopping are a few miles away and Uber/Lyft are easy to get with pick up locations at the front gate or other areas around the lot perimeter.
Grange Park Fairgrounds is located 14mi from Beaver Stadium and offers overnight RV parking for $60 per night.
Permits can be purchased online or at the gate with cash or credit. The permit includes space for one RV, one car, electric and water hookups.
Check-in starts Thursday to Saturday until midnight and check out is Sunday by 3pm.
There’s a dump station on site for an additional fee of $25 and can be accessed from 7am-noon Sundays.
A mobile dump service is also available for $40 on Saturdays from 8am-5pm.
There is a private shuttle service to Beaver Stadium and campus area Friday-Saturday for $10 per person cash.
Uber/Lyft are accessible at the front gate and a short ride to Sheets convenience store for Beer/Wine and snack foods.
Walmart parking lot is located 3 miles from beaver stadium.
There is no official Walmart policy that allows overnight RV parking however it seems to be tolerated as long as you’re discrete
The parking area closest to the McDonalds seems to be the unofficial preferred area
Many seem to just use the parking lot for sleeping then leave early in the morning heading over to the stadium day lots to setup for tailgating

Hey! This video is very helpful! I gotta question though, what are the stadium “day lots” I’m coming for the whiteout game, and all the ORV prices on stubhub are insane

So two questions... 1. Are travel trailers acceptable in the ORV lot based on parking space? 2. How difficult is it to get a Lyft from the offsite lot to the stadium? Are Uber/Lyfts given preference in leaving after the game?

Yes travel trailers have been in the ORV lot unless they made recent changes. The ORV lot is walkable to the stadium and Uber/Lyft can be hailed from outside the front gate. The Grange Fairground parking lot has a shuttle to the stadium and Uber/Lyft can be hailed outside the front gate. I don’t know if there is any preference to Uber/Lyft after the game at the stadium.

How expensive/difficult would it be for a visiting fan to get a single game RV pass for the University RV tailgate lots?

The only way that I know of is to purchase a permit from StubHub or other 3rd party resale platform and it’s not difficult at all. The price depends on the game and lot. The ORV lot is from Thurs-Sunday and can range in price $150-$1000. If you don’t mind taking a little risk, you can wait until the week of the game and sometimes get a better price. The other lot is the RV lot and it allows overnight parking just Saturday night. Many people park at Walmart Friday and get up early to get into the RV lot to get setup.

Are you able to buy a orv ticket at the entrance? If so, are you able to on game day to stay that night and leave sunday or does it have to be on friday?

Unfortunately not at the Penn State ORV parking lot. We purchase our ORV tickets from stubhub ahead of time for the game desired and it’s grom Thursday-Sunday and you can arrive whatever day you like. At the fair grounds you can buy at the gate same day and stay however long you like.

@@nomadsrv927 Oh, okay,... I live about 40 mins away from State College. I just discovered your channel & commented about putting the roof top tent on a utility trailer lol,... I spent the first 35 yrs of my life in Australia & have now lived the last 17 in South Central PA.
