The roughing the passer on #6, Lucas late in the game was tough. It looked like he did everything possible to avoid contact with the Penn St. QB. Yes, their QB made some incredible late throws.

Love the Lynn hire and all around Defensive staff, but Lynn not making adjustments to double team the TE #44 and allow 1 ppayer to have 48% of the offensive yards was unacceptable! This was Lynn's worst coached game. And PS converting 4th and 7 and 4th and 10 was BAD.

I totally agree that they weren’t playing to win in those last few minutes of the they were playing not to lose and it really came down to execution when it really matters! As fans of USC we really have to check our expectations of this team they are in their first year of a rebuild on defense and first year in the BIG10 who aren’t making it very easy for us to win close games judging by a lot of the refs calls on both sides of the ball for USC. We are an awfully young team which I feel will get better as we bring in more better recruits. Tough loss!

Recently, we had a tailback named Stephen Carr that looked like a first rounder. He then got injured & was never the same. The optics matter in play calling. Branch had an injury last season & he hasn't seemed to be the same. A tear jerker re: Branch.

I love your pod cast, and you guys are fair with your assessment. Unfortunately we/Riley just doesn’t know how to win. Our guys played their arses off, and Riley’s coaching decisions and clock management cost us the win. He’s officially on the hot seat for 2025, and I don’t see anything out of him that gives me confidence that he’ll right the ship. I’m tired of “Moral victories”. He’s paid $110 million, and at this point in year 3, he shouldn’t be learning on the job. Good win, and good luck the rest of the season. As for us, all we can do is Fight On!

Miller found another way to throw a pick down the stretch. The dude could've easy had a couple more. That's 5 in 4 games. Riley is gonna roll with this dude until he loses 2 more games of Miller has a 3 pick game. Which is coming.

To me it’s absolutely amazing that the SC defense couldn’t even slow down the tight end . In the second half SC defense seem to fall apart. Also, Miller Moss is not a starting quarterback every game they lost his interceptions.have contributed to the loss

Give that new Penn St. OC all the credit....last year's Penn St. offense would have easily lost this game to USC. Congrats Penn St. Drew Allar is legit!

As an SC fan - this season is fucked - so we need to start playing kids that will help us win 10+ games next year - this doesn’t include miller moss - dude is a liability in this offense

In the 2nd half, USC ran out of gas. They have a great 1st string, but their 2nd & 3rd string are a step down. You can't win football game unless you have good players throughout the entire roster. And the reason PSU moved away from the running game was Warren was so hot he was money with the ball in his hands, even in the 4th quarter when you'd think they'd cover him like a blanket. Nope, he knows how to get open, even when they know the ball is coming to him.

PSU fan here. I’d like to think id have the stones to come on if they had lost but USC was fantastic. If you’re a USC fan, you might be saying “yea thanks douche, nobody cares.” It’s the first time I’ve seen a team make the PSU D look like confused freshman. Woody marks is a beast and he drove me crazy. USC has too much talent to be 3-3 and prob should’ve won that game. PSU battled back but they were out schemed and out played in several areas.

SC wasn't perfect, far from it. But for three games now they've had to beat both the other team and the refs at the end of the game. That's hard to do. That being said, with this very porous o-line who did do better today. I think it's time to pivot to Maiava. Of course Riley won't do that, his play calling was better, but still needs a lot of work.

We have to face facts, Lincoln Riley is not a good head coach. Unfortunately, because of his very expensive contract, we are stuck with him for the next 7 years. He is a very mediocre coach and the best we can do is put pressure on him to improve. Riley could really benefit from talking to Nick Saban or Urban Meyer and picking their brains, although I don't know if Riley's ego will allow him to do this. I don't know if Riley thinks he is a good coach or if he believe he is a fraud, as he is making Clay Helton type excuses. As for the officiating, there is nothing we can do to affect it, so we have to play better to get an extra touchdown in order to overcome the officiating. Lincoln Riley has coached 33 games at USC so far and his record is 22-11. Clay Helton's record for his first 33 games at USC is 24-9. Do you still think Lincoln Riley is a good coach?

Although refs fucked SC (again) if Moss hits a wide open Duce Robinson on that last drive they still would’ve won - moss cost SC the Michigan game with that pick 6 and the Penn st game - that was as easy a throw from a clean pocket you get at this level

I get running the clock down low - I don’t trust Moss either - why give Penn st more time to beat us in regulation (which they almost did anyway)

USC lost this game more than Penn State won it, 0tds on 2 interceptions in PSU territory, Worst game of the season from Miller Moss, The refs must’ve gotten a call from the B1G commissioner to preserve Penn state’s playoff ranking because they were dreadful the only silver lining is that we’re in the most winnable part of the schedule I just hope at minimum we can at least get back in the top 25 by seasons end

Disappointing loss and season...no excuses

Man it’s embarrassing seeing these “fans” overreacting. You fake fans act like we have a championship level roster and can overcome bad officiating. We don’t have that level of talent throughout our roster. If the officiating is fair at worst we are 4-2 and most likely 5-1 or 6-0 and ranked in the top 10. The defense is improved, recruiting much better, and LR can’t call his offense with the bad o-line play (which I think he replaces Henson), and has one of the toughest schedules in all of CFB. Relax and give him time.

Lincoln is predictable. He continues to go away from what’s working, in favor of the pass. Also, stop throwing on 1st down. Teams know USC will throw on 1st, run of the middle on 2nd, and then forced in a 3rd and long. Stop overhyping PSU because they beat USC.
