I came across a few 1957 wheat Pennie’s in my dads coin jug that he filled when I was younger. Since he passed in 1997, I thought I would finally look through the dates.

It's crazy you made a video about the 57 penny. The nicest penny in my album is a 57-D Rd.. I don't know what it would grade but it is really nice. My 57-P is brown and has been slid across lots of counters for a cup of coffee. Thanks for the video J&B.

I have lots of 1957 pennies, unfortunately none in really high grade but I have found several dozen of them with die chips/cracks on different parts of the obverse, most notably on the date and mint mark. Thanks for sharing this video. See ya in the next one.

I have a 1957 no mint mark with a strong double die obverse almost a triple obverse in one small section along the rim..the condition is amazing (one of the nicest pennies I've seen in person) I've been collecting coins for only about two years now and I'm becoming a bit of a nutcase with it..always checking every coin I get with my change...Im going to send the penny out to be graded with pcgs...off hand what would you say a ms60 or ms 61 woild value at??? Pls feel free to pm me with any answers..thanks

I know I'm late to the party and late collecting but I do have a 57 and a 57D. The 57D is brown but still has good definition. (every wheat grove on the back is defined) It also has chunks of the "A" missing on America and the only way I can explain it is that the top gap of the 5 is mostly filled. Thanks for the video!

JB, I have a question, I have been collecting coins with my father for over 60 years, I got his collection but since I am getting old and my kids and grandkids do not want my coins, where can I go to sell the lot at a fair price. I know I can sell them on eBay, but that takes time. I have around 50 proof sets from 1982 to 1992 and 12 proof sets from 1957 to 1964, about 35 P D mint sets from 1964 to 1989. Some other circulated indian head pennies, Lincoln wheat pennies, and assorted other US and foreign coins. I am in Maryland.

I found a 1957 wheat penny in pretty good shape and after closely looking I can see that the "B" in LIBERTY has extra drop of metal on the bottom part so it's not open like the top of it. Not sure what to think of it. Error or not?

I believe that there are some 1957 cents that have an error with the letter B, I would need to research it again.

I discovered I have 3 uncirculated 1957 pennies. They are in an uncirculated case that was bought awhile back...never checked them until tonight. I believe they are red as they look just like the sample you showed.

Hello, I just viewed your video on the 1957 penny, as I happen to be in possession of one myself of which I have a question. This penny I've discovered weighs 3.0 grams. I read somewhere, that it may be due to an improper alloy mix. My questions are, is that possible and, if so, would that make it any more valuable. An answer to my question would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and effort !

I think the alloy mix up was between 1982 and 83 if you find an 83 that weighs 3.1 grams it was made with 95% copper which they stopped in 82. So big 💰
