Penny's introduction (Zatch Bell) 

I just thought the same, I saw this randomly in my recommendations. What a different time lol

I was 23 when this series came out my oldest son was barely 2yrs old my kid sister who lived with us was 22 and recorded the series and she'd watch it with my son. I raised my kids on anime from sailor Moon to Naruto to Inu yasha to ranma 1/2 to bleach to tenjaho tengebetc etc etc I wasn't your traditional orthodox mom

Nicki Lester Well, most characters were renamed for the English version such Gash to Zatch, Patie to Penny, Tio to Tia, Dr. Riddle to Prof. Hakase, Zeno to Zeon, and many more. A question that I have is why did the anime adaptation of Konjiki no Gash!! change the characters' color schemes? In the manga, Gash's mantle is dark green instead of dark blue... other characters had slightly different color scheme but still resembled nearly the same... however, Patie's color scheme was the biggest change it feels like; in the manga, she has light gray/violet hair (depending on what manga volume cover you're looking at), dark bluish-purple crowns, and sky-blue ballet flats. When I read the manga after watching the anime, Patie's manga color scheme completely threw me off (at first, I thought the characters' were shaded differently and didn't realize they actually had a different color scheme than in the anime).
