I feel like as the show progressed that Sheldon and Penny became greater friends than everyone else (even Leonard and Sheldon). I feel like she knows him way more and how to calm him and just take care of him.
Sheldon's really has been the one constantly re-sparking their relationship. He literally told them, "to get it over with, and actually talk where the relationship is going". Really making them think, with a lil' side of humor to relax them. GENIUS!
It's fun to think that Sheldon considers himself part of their relationship. Comparing how he used to be he changed quite a bit. He became used to the idea of the others being over and he became much more open. Well that's what i think...
It's true, he may not show it as blatantly as some characters in some shows, but Sheldon does undergo quite a bit of character development over the course of the show. If you look at the sort of things he does in later seasons, a lot of them are things that season 1 Sheldon would never have done.
Just because he thinks he is literally the center of everyone and everything. Everytime someone is saying such a thing like "this is not about you" his brain shuts down. Classic narcissist
Fortunately Amy's apartment got ruined which ended up with Sheldon living with Amy in Penny's apartment giving Leonard and Penny Sheldon's apartment all to themselves.
Kaley Cuoco is so good! In that first joke she reacts to Sheldon's like with just half her face as she's in profile view, not even moving yet we can still see her reaction, so subtle but present.
Sheldon sounds an awful lot like Sherlock Holmes, here. John and Mary have their life and Sherlock can't live without him, no matter how awful he is to Joh-I mean Leonard.
Exactly what I thought when I finished watching Sherlock. Sherlock are John are best friends just like Sheldon and Leonard but Sherlock and Mary have a different level of friendship just like Sheldon and Penny. Both shows are my favorite ❤
Shows like this come around once in a blue moon. It’s one of the greatest entertainment shows of my life of fifty seven years ❤. May all the people who were involved in the show live happy lives 🎉, cause they sure gave us plenty of joy!

He is the one that badgered Penny until she relented. Leonard only has himself to blame. If he wanted someone weak and submissive I am sure there were lots of grad students he could have pursued. For that matter he has a perfectly sweet girlfriend in Stephanie that he dumped. I don't recall Stephanie ever being mean to Leonard.
Being a geek/nerd myself, I would love to be with a guy like Leonard. It always hurt to see him drooling over Penny when she never rlly understood him or cared for him the way he did for her.
All Leonard ever does is drool over how hot she is. He never praises any of her other good qualities. I don't blame her for feeling defensive. You can see she is a kind person by the way she treats Sheldon and Amy, two socially awkward human beings that feel misunderstood.
@@danatedawg1018 They liked her as a person not because she was hot. I think Penny's character was always a little defensive with Leonard's character because he showed he was happy with any hot girl. He was just as happy with Priya as he was with Penny.
