I have been struggling with the American cruisers in fact so much I'm still on the Pensacola aha glad this is a video as it will most definetly help me.
Great video. Although, I can’t say I enjoyed the Pensacola (Citadel City). I found the slow turret traverse and fragility of the ship to be almost unbearable. The slow reload was a pain as well. I just never found myself having anything other than mediocre games. I was glad when I finished grinding it.
This ship teaches you how to be good with cruisers and punishes you for not being good, it's an amazing ship for beginners as it forces you to play good and get rid of bad habits and develope good ones I got a 89 percent win rate with a 59k average damage a game
Kincaid is the best choice for Pensacola IMO. The maneuverability and turret traverse does more to increase offensive ability than Scott's skills. I run a Punch Through commander on almost all my cruisers but don't miss it on Pensacola
I watch alot of your videos and take into account of lot of the tips you share and I think in time, I slowly improve... But I go through 10 or 20 games sometimes struggling, either with learning and improving skills, maybe cus I don't get ships upgraded so easily so I'm grinding them out with nothing, or I just get paired with possibly the worst team mates (I seem to always be stuck with destroyers who only hunt carriers, or battleship, leaving their team to spot and cap for selves) (or cruisers who seem their only task is to dish it out and go toe to toe against battleships, and not support their team), so go through a lot of games in my early ship battles with each new ship, and lose most of those... So I'm trying to understand... Am I that BAD? Or are you that good, your an expert on your first play through with ships? I think their has to be more to your playing, and I know you discuss or comment, you sometimes have bad games... But we never see those. No offense, I think it be nice to see you (and this goes for all you top level players who YT, I watch a few of you) struggle once in while! See how you handle making mistakes! Show us what your real first battles with new ships look like when you first play them with no upgrades. Just so we can feel that we're not fighting different wars, or playing a different game. Sometimes it feels like I watch you playing a different game than I'm on, cause I can never seem to get nearly as good as you... Til I do... Only by grinding and grinding a ship through many many fights, I finally get to a point where I have good games! So it makes me wonder how many real games do you too level YT world of warship lieutenants really go through to show us the good games you play? Maybe, just a thought, let us see some of your battles where you made mistakes. Talk us through those. It be nice to see how often you guys at your level of play really struggle. Maybe have one video show 5 or so bad battles with a particular ship, where you got creamed early, so you show another, and each one was a different scenario, teaching us a different lesson or mistakes to avoid, than one good battle where all those lessons culminated!? Or just have 5-10 bad battle BLOOPER REELS, like "my worst of the week" videos or something. Just a thought!
