I wish they would do a serious cover of Summertime Sadness. I love the song, and can you imagine the cover that PTX would deliver of that song! It practically begs for an accapella group like PTX to cover it.
It shows that when people are trusted with something difficult, they will work to deliver. Very courageous of Pentatonix to give relatively complex lines but clearly it paid off
I love this video not only because that audience was awesome, but also because it's one of the few times Kevin sings without seeming self-conscious. Most of the time when he sings you can tell he's really thinking about it, but I guess because he's so focused on teaching the parts he's just in the moment and his beautiful voice comes through! (Plus Kevin and Avi look extra hot in this video!!!!!)
They seriously need to do a song where Avi turns into 'the annoying car beside you at a stoplight who's music is on full blast' like we see at 5:41, because that is seriously the coolest thing I've heard from him. lol
LMC931 Oh don't get me wrong I love it, I just think it's cool how the mics can make it sound like that. I know he is just singing normally. I'm sure it sounds a lot different live vs. a video, though. :D I would love to see them live.
I think the phone mic is crap. Their mics are very expensive and their eq is done on a ver high standard professional level. I do lights and sound for comcerts like these.

Yeah, I really enjoyed having the kinda complex line of notes to sing. It was nice to have to pay attention and work for it a bit. I was in Team Mitch when they came to Tulsa.

I Was using normal 40Hz-20KHz Speakers, i was hearing a little of Avi's bass at 50% volume in RU-vid, then i used my 20(maybe even 10 but it won't matter)Hz-18KHz Headphones (Don't mind the lower Frequency on the highs) Then damn my ears exploded
So sad I missed this concert. It was around my birthday and I left Springfield for a travel job. It would be 3 years later when I finally saw them in Orlando.

brittycora They said either it slowed down the show or that they wanted something more upbeat in the second half of their show. It was in one of their PTXperiences.
Its funny coz the guy with the lowest voice in the world (guiness record winner) was in the audience that night... sitting in the "kirstie section" so he had to sing the high part xd
