Jayson Adonay i'm almost positive he's not singing in his modal voice for that though. i think he's either doing a throat rattle or a very loose lip trill. not that i don't love avi it's just that F#1 is a little unreasonable to expect from anyone
We all have a second set of larger vocal folds that are above our modal vocal folds. They usually never move unless you are clearing your throat, or if you take part in tuvan throat singing. I believe Avi is using these folds instead of the modal folds. (you use them both at the same time in throat singing)
Kenneth Williams I can do tuvan throat singing and it doesn't sound quite like that. He is actually singing that. He is probably swallowing the mic to get that much volume but tuvan throat singing has a distinct different tone that sounds cool, but not like your natural singing voice. He can sing to, I believe, an E1 so an F#1 is very plausible for him. Even live.

I have listened to the studio version, I read the comments and I knew Avi was going to hit that low note but nothing, absolutely nothing could have prepared me for that. My jaw dropped.
If anybody is wondering how Avi did that bass cannon, it’s a growled note that doesn’t sound very impressive in the air, but if you go right next to the microphone and take away the air between the sound and the mic, it just completely explodes with sound
I listen to it when my phone was connected with my soundtower and I had the Bass Boost on full power and holy shit I could feel the floor vibrate and my books fell out of my shelf. Oooooops. And my Mom told me that ecen in the living roomthe table was shaking.
i went to see a concert recently... unfortunately i didn't hear this song at the concert :< and this vid makes me feel like.. i'm all about that bass. bout that bass! bout that bass! no treble! XD i played his F#1 note so many times. damn the power! and at one point that all you can really even hear every video that has avi singing this note, thats all the comments are about x3 then again. he is awesome #Avi_Fan
gotta say... props to whoever is recording for being able to pic out the melody line for the chorus! :) you must be a singer or writer or something... takes a special ear to be able to do that
I wish they still did this audience participation stuff. I looks like it would've been fun, even though when I went to a concert on their current tour I was singing along to every song.
