Most musicians in concert have teleprompters. They have 200 songs in their catalog…they are going to forget the words occasionally. And as judithL2100 points out, Scott is notorious for forgetting words. 😂😂❤❤
Scott is notorious for forgetting words to songs, so maybe teleprompters ARE necessarry 😂 I think the concert was September 29. It was the first concert for Kirstie since having her baby
This whole night was just magical and instantly became my all time favorite concert I've ever been to 😍 the venue was iconic and they just sounded so amazing! You could tell they were having the time of their lives!
There was a man born in the 30's at this concert!! They asked from the 2000's to the 30's, and someone was in their 90's and there to enjoy the concert!!! Matt was amazing in his song! I adore him. He had huge shoes to fill, and his bass has gotten better over the years!! I am so glad, you are reacting to this video!!
this was at the end of september and was their first performance of 2022 after kirstin's little maternity leave you can tell they were SO excited to be back and sound better than ever!
You have to see them live. I just did and I was blown away. You figure if they can do this live they can do anything. Also props to Matt for learning 10 years of songs. And FYI I really enjoy your PTX reactions even with the pauses. 😂
I appreciate you for appreciating Matt. He has proven himself throughout these five years past. He worked so hard to be recognized for what he is and what he has brought to PTX
This was an amazing concert! It was my first time seeing them live and let me just say WOW. I had very high expectations for the night but they blew them all out of the water, honestly. This song was 2nd of the set list I believe, but they sounded this good and fresh all night. Never missed a beat.
I also recommend the 90’s Dance Medley and Aha! from this same concert- just SOOOO perfect!! The concert was September 29- I am sure because I had the opportunity to go, and then vacation plans had to be changed, and I could no longer go 😩.
I think a lot of reactors expect the audience at a PTX concert to be like one at a rock concert full of young people. PTX'S appeal is multi-generational. Someone who recently attended a sold-out PTX Christmas concert said the audience is more like one at a play with most people sitting and really focused on the performance. He said it was still an amazing experience.
I too could rewind and rewind and rewind them as a whole. Best version I’ve listened too but only because they had microphones. Always fantastic. I’m sure you’re aware now that Scott is notoriously bad for blanking lyrics. Not just because he simply forgets them but also gets lost in the experience itself. He’s said that he can appreciates his friends vocals to the point that he forgets to sing. Lovely every one of them. Kirsten was glowing. Matt’s adoption is complete and Mitch sounds rested again and beautiful as always. Kevin is just ….. Kevin. What is there to say. Their energy was jubilant and I love your rewinds. ❤
There was a lot of older people in their 80s. They had all ages. I wanted to get up and dance but didn't want to block the older people behind us. Lol I did yell a lot.
I believe the seats up front you’re talking about is actually the orchestra section. But no need for an orchestra with them! So sometimes available for seating but not always. Also them standing doesn’t block the view for everyone else because of the way the whole theater is built into a hill.
Every time somebody says they can’t do this live, I point them to this video. Watching their tour documentaries, you get a sense of who can’t remember lyrics (Scott 😂), who doesn’t do choreography well, who is late, who is goofy, competitive, loves animals, etc. They are just a great group of human beings who are amazingly talented.
First time I heard this was the original and since this came out in 2022, Avi had already left the group. Matt really fits in and did an incredible job and it shows especially here that they chose a great addition to replace Avi. I always say Matt is Matt and Avi is Avi and there is no comparing the two and I enjoy listening to both of them. I did watch one reactor say exactly what you said, the crowd did not seem as hyped up as you would think. He was reacting to the 90s Dance Medley.
This concert was fantastic. They did a professional recording of it that they streamed via VEEPS. A lot of those videos seem to be available here, now, and well worth it, all of them. You might enjoy their finale of Hallelujah. They recorded the audience singing some vocalizations at the beginning of the show, saying it was a warm up, then when they sang Hallelujah they included the audience recording. It was pretty epic. Then they did Bohemian Rhapsody as their encore and a choir joined them for the opera part. It was lovely and they sounded amazing.
Their live performances are incredible but when it comes to Daft Punk - you really HAVE to watch the Grammy Award winning video. The visuals alone are even without music are worth it.
Scott says he forgets the lyrics to songs he's written! The promoter went out one night on the last world tour and during the ptxperience see Scott say thank god it wasn't during perfect because he doesn't know the lyrics to perfect!
i think this was maybe the 2nd song in the set hence the energy, but they kept it up throughout the entire concert really. they were really excited to be back on stage after their little break :) and yeah American audiences are notoriously underwhelming, the crowd goes insane at their international concerts
