Oh no! Mitch is not underrated, us fans adore him and understand how talented he is. He absolutely amazing! ❤ Thanks for reaching to the Singapore version
For another live one, check out Pop Spring 2016... 3 originals and the evolution of MJ... great sound quality. You might also try Standing By @ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GyARVE4ijrk.html
O.K. guys, check out the video Pentatonix Popspring 2016. It's about twenty minutes long and contains three of their originals and the Michael Jackson medley. Live with professional sound and cameras.
Kevin enters the stage while Avi does his low note, you can just see Mitch move across to allow Kevin to come in beside Scott, apparently the previous song Kevin was playing the Cello so he was putting her (Beyonce) away, so the beginning was to allow time for Kevin to do that.
Avi blew the speakers with his low note! And Mitch - little angelic alien incredible! They were jetlagged and Mitch had had several red bulls before he went on stage and the effect kicked in just before they sang this song. This is the ultimate 'Mitch slap'.
This was Mitch with jet lag and a few Red Bulls. Probably never happen again so enjoy Give a listen to Mitch doing a cover of Billie Eillish's Your Power. It's mind blowing for sure!
As good as they are in studio, they are often the best on stage. Most (all?) of them come alive with proper audience interaction. They really feed off the audience.
Popspring performance 2016 live you get 3 originals and Evolution of Michael Jackson. Mitch Grassi covers "Your Power' by Billie Elish Scott Hoying and Shoshana Bean singing "All to Me" so good.
I highly recommend "Gold" by PTX. It's not live in concert, but the video is filmed live and is amazing. Especially if you've listened to the original. Mitch's part is extremely difficult vocally. So difficult the original artist, Kiiara, had to have her song edited and pitch changes spliced together. (The original is awesome too. Don't want to take away from it) But Mitch is on another level! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mW0T0F7VquA.html
You would really enjoy their professionally produced live concert - POPSPRING 2016.. (the sound is impeccable since the sound is from MTV) It's only under 15 minutes long and WELL worth it!!
This is what happens when you give Mitch Red Bull before a performance. You're still getting Avi and Kevin backwards. Avi is the bass with the really low notes Kevin is the beatboxer
The story is that they'd just flown in and were scheduled for an immediate concert. So they were all jet lagged and concerned about putting on a quality performance, and Mitch compensated with two Red Bulls. That *may* have been one Red Bull too many....
There is actually of video of this performance that has better sound and actually shows Kevin on the stage, but I've only seen seen one reactor use it and don't remember who it was.
I've seen that video, once, it completely missed Mitch going off and the Avi note. Totally not worth it. The sound quality on this isn't great, but the performance makes it.
It's always a joy watching people reacting to this gem.. and you weren't an exception! There's no preparation for this.. I second the recommendations for Mitch's solo work under the name of Messer, very different (you won't even recognize him) but great, plus his version of "Power" by Billie Eilish, it's hauntingly beautiful.
Thanks guys. This is amazing performance and your reaction was spot on. Mitch was born with a gift. His voice is beyond. I think PTX showcases it perfectly. But his solo work is great too. He is the ultimate professional too. It is known that he has anxiety when performing. A lot of super gifted artists do. But he really believes in what he does and lives "The Show Must Go On" motto. Hope to see more videos from you guys. They are always enjoyable.
Scott and Kirstin doing all the syncopated background parts is hard to do in a studio environment where you can do it over and adjust things electronically in mixing. The difficulty of doing this live is about a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10. Crowd noise, sound delays (just a fact with sound traveling through cords and wi-fi) the adrenaline of being in front of a crowd, and anything else that can happen live, this is a whole other level talent and discipline. If any of them get off track or off beat doing this song it could turn into a train wreck in a hurry. I don't think there are too many people, outside of these special five, that could do this and do it that well.
Love your reactions. You need to do more live. I recommend Hallelujah from the Christmas special, Joyful, Joyful from the Evergreen Experience and Queens Somebody to Love.
