Warning, multiple viewings to this song, does not lessen the tears, it only increases them, but now you know when to reach for the tissues. Love a reactor who shows his emotions. This is just about the most perfect Christmas song for this year that could ever be. And I hope it becomes part of everyone's annual Christmas play list because it is so sweet, so honest, so emotional, and so true that it deserves a place of honor. Then you add in a lovely performance by Scott, the beautiful tones of Kevin's cello work, and the usual attention to detail of every PTX performance and you end up with a beautiful classic that should last forever.

I read another comment to someone else's reaction to this song (can't find their comment so I don't have their name) that observed that the arrangement has three parts. 1st Scott thanking Mark, 2nd Scott thanking his band mates @ the dinnertable, 3rd PTX thanking all their fans @ end when they all join in. If this is true, not only are the lyrics, video, and music masterful but the arrangement is beyond genius!

Hi from Maryborough Qld. My Mum has recently gone into a nursing home, fortunately we can continue to visit. The staff are all friendly and caring, and our family are grateful for them every day. So thank you to carers who do such a difficult, important job every day.

Yup..you had me 😭😭😭...All my family got covid-19 in November...it's the scariest time I've ever been through..the knowing one of us or all may not make it ...we were very sick but thankfully we are all doing ok now after five weeks...I am so grateful and thankful for my daughters, nurses and doctors who got us through this...we are so blessed 🙏🙏...I loved your reaction ❤️...thank you for everything you do ❤️💕

Smiling and crying at the same time, yup. This song plays constantly in my head since I first heard it. I cried the day it was released and cried more when the video came out. What a huge hug this song is in general. You truly touched me with your explanation of what our elderly are going through. I worked for many years with them myself and I understand how hard this must be on them. Thank you for this touching reaction and all that you do!

This was without a doubt the best reaction I have seen to this song. I have been listening to and watching reactions to this, and now Morrisette's new single, for the last week or so and both have hit me pretty hard in the feels. This will be my third Christmas since losing my wife of 26 years. The holidays were always a joyful time for us and now they rip my heart out. Both of these songs have driven home one thing, never miss an opportunity to let those in your life know how you feel about them. I thought my wife and I had many years ahead of us since she was only 47. But, we expressed our love for each other every time we spoke, that is the one thing that sustains me. The line that hits hardest is, "Like the winter leaves, I can't survive without your light."

I kinda knew this would be your reaction and you didn't disappoint. You got me going and you made some valid points from your own experience. I'm sure this song will be cathartic for a lot of people. And now the good news. Their Twelve Days of Christmas is a complete 180, an antidote to this one if you will and so much better than you would expect from this hoary old chestnut. And I'm not referring to myself here. If you're feeling blue take 2 views and call me in the morning if you're not feeling better.

Loved your reaction to this one. I thought you would have an emotional reaction to this one like I did when I first heard it. I thought Amazing Grace was going to be the best track off their Christmas album until I heard this one, which tops it by far in my book! It also broke new ground for PTX with piano and cello both in a song and I think it is the first song of theirs with piano in it as well. They just dropped their next video from this album which is 12 Days of Christmas. So if you want something lighter and more upbeat and fun, check that one out. Keep reacting and stay safe!

that dog with scott in the first scene with mitch and kevin is his and marks dog. and then kirstie's dogs are in later. but yes mark and scott wrote this song together for each other but decided it really would apply to everyone so we have it here. its really growing on me.

Love this song and your reaction! And yes, 2020 has indeed sucked. One of my favorite videos from people standing in line to vote last month (I know that having to stand in line just to vote is horrible, but it is what America is doing right now, unfortunately) was when a group of people in Philadelphia led the line in doing the Cha Cha Slide. I wanted to also add one last but most important message and that is, I work in a hospital specifically with Cancer patients and I can tell you it has been so very hard with COVID trying to take care of our patients that are not only dealing with this sometimes deadly illness but also having to deal with this new outbreak! So THANK YOU PTX for giving me and so many others the strength, courage, and the hope to keep fighting!!!

Thank you for the most heartfelt reaction I have seen. I used to work in healthcare so I have inkling of what you do.. since I was in a whole different section of healthcare. So thank you very much oh, thank you so very very much. You have kept us going and have kept us alive Art is supposed to touch us and move us on a Body Mind and Spirit Level. Taking the music of Jingle Bells and completely re-interpreting it into this brilliant piece of music is simply pure genius. They've used Kevin's cello on several of their tracks over the years, but the addition of Scott's piano is icing on the cake. And a special cameo by Kirstie's three dogs, including the adorable little Floof (if you watch the various PTX behind the scenes videos, you'll get to know Floof really well) was the amazing final touch! You're reaction was exactly like mine the first time I heard it...and I'm a 56-year-old former American football player!!

The most underrated PTX song. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because the focus of it is to give Thanks. For me this song hits home as both a Christmas song and a Thanksgiving song.
