They were super personable and endearing, but for me, it took me a bit out of the music more abruptly. It was kind of jarring. I'm one of those people who like to repeat listen, but they'd usually jump in with their, "Heyyyy!" before I could pause it and go back, so it was like a bit of a race to get there without being completely taken out of the moment. The comments from them and the sort of... update of it all was cool. I might have preferred it beforehand, to be honest, to introduce the video, if it was included. I understand why it wasn't though. The downside of this lack of collective outro is that we don't get that personal touch feeling, but the good part is that it does feel more professional. Our guys are all grown up. ~happy tears~

Properly applied autotune is often undetectably subtle to the untrained ear, and is just as essential to the modern vocal production process as any other effect in the signal chain (preamp, compressor, eq, delay, reverb etc.). There's no point recording ten times more takes than necessary gunning for both artistic expressiveness and flawless execution, when you can have musicians focus on the former and polish any rough edges away in post. Live performances are when perfect technical excellence comes to shine, not in recordings.

Banufshay I'm liking his post-PTX stuff. Quarter Past Four is one of my go to songs when I'm anxious. I'm chonrically ill, and it can really do a number on me to be in so much pain, but it not have a normal cause, like an injury. An injury heals and then you usually move on. And you often have signs of what's wrong. But to hurt so intensely and it not be visible, to expect to see bruises at the least, and look fine, and know that the pain is only going to improve if it just happens to let you go, that you can't stop it, that it'll keep happening for years... it can be overwhelming. Music like Avi's... it helps me not kind of spin out when I'm losing control over the pain and know I have no tools at my disposal to stop it. "Never thought I'd live to see this day, where my mind is in the future, while my body rides the wave." He seems like a gentle spirit, and his music is deeply impactful, at least for me. I'm happy for him that he's finding his bliss, and for me that it just so happens to cause music to exist that helps me get through this, my 18th year of uncontrolled pain.
