I know that this is an odd question to ask a total stranger, but I want to try and figure it out without straight up looking up the answer. Is there any way you would be able to give me a hint. Here's what I've already noticed (SPOILERS for those who haven't done it): - "Gears" (or whatever they're meant to be). They can spin clockwise or counter-clockwise. 6, as far as I can tell - Numbers on the ground. I've only seen two (2 and 4, or more accurately, II and IIII) - The lever which stops all of the gears (and I assume opens the door(s) if you have the gears correct or something) I can't tell if I'm missing an extra thing or if I'm just not putting the puzzle pieces that I do have together. A hint without giving too much away if possible would be much appreciated! (Again, I realize that it's a strange request lol).

(I like the detail that the number for the clockwise gears is being pointed at by a skeleton that only has a right hand, and the opposite for the other number).

Honestly my main issue is the boss's hp bloat and the frequency of ad spawns. I wish there was ANYTHING we could d to slow the onslaught of ads so that we can actually have dps prep beyond "mechanic is done place well or die"

This dungeon slaps -- orders of magnitude better than Spire from last year. Some of the most unique and engaging damage phases we've ever gotten. Vengeance might be my new favorite boss in Destiny. I got the rocket sidearm from the final boss on my first solo run (terrible roll) but it's really cool. Looking forward to seeing what the possible rolls are when the API updates on Tuesday. PS: Whisper of the Worm is very good.

For the rocket sidearm, I got a roll with lead from gold voltshot, and honestly it feels really good. For crucible enjoyers it also seems to three tap at any range which could go crazy

It kiiiind of does look like an Ahamkara, with the meatball being the mouth and the eyes being the, well, eyes. But yes, still a letdown that it isn’t another ahamkara model.

This dungeon was a total blast to play, the mechanics were fun and evolved well over the various encounters, the final boss is just hilariously chaotic, and the overall aesthetic of the dungeon is fantastic.

i finished it on an lfg team in 3 hours. on last boss one guy didn't do much damage but it still didn't feel bad and was fun, first two bosses don't have too much health as well.

@@hem9483 Using dragonsbreath with 2 surges and dawn chorus warlock i was able to 4-phase all bosses. Your damage is going to vary alot depending on how many totems you can activate on the first and final boss.

Me and my group did the prison puzzle in only ten minutes, but that was due to luck having three needing to be spun counterclockwise and three needing to be spun clockwise.

Loved the aesthetic of this dungeon, honestly. Dungeons and Dragons vibe really sold me. Three boss fights with tough mechanics was awesome too. Bungie really did very good on this.

I think the intended clue for the jails is that the 2 is at the right hand of the skeleton for 2 clockwise and the 4 is on the left hand for counter-clockwise

Shattered throne at launch still beats every dungeon that followed at launch. It’s just been a joke for a long time because of power creep. But content wise ST trumps them all. Duality probably second best. New one is def solid though, better than last 2 for sure

Pro tip for Datto: if you’re shooting something and it doesn’t give you “Immune” or damage numbers, you can’t/don’t need to interact with it by shooting it, so find another way to interact

Liking the scenery so far, looks like a mix of the first few missions in Boltgun, Caradhras Pass and Moria in Lord of the Rings, some castles and dungeons in Skyrim, and some of the film locations in The Witcher season 2. Blind duo-ed this with a buddy and considering you use the same totem mechanic but with a different flavor for each encounter, it wasn't too hard to learn the fights. getting locked up part took some brain cells and extra thinking time to figure out tho (on a duo, one person is put in the double cell where semi was, the other in lep's room but they can go through top the path to datto's room from the start). Whole way through gave Kaer Morhen vibes, i now wanna go play Witcher 3 again

I'm one of the crazy people that love caster frame swords, and i got a hatchling version and a chain reaction version on my run so I'm fairly happy with it. Wish I had gotten one of the side arms but I'll settle for now. Curious to see what rolls can show up on some of the other loot.

Fantastic dungeon. It's quite easy but I kinda love that because it's very quick and nice to do multiple run throughs in one session. Loot leaves a bit to be desired but considering how easy it is I don't really care that much E: after watching I'm kinda proud of myself for my duo team figuring these mechanics out faster than datto's. They're too galaxy brained for simple mechanics like this lmao

First time i done this was on a no mic lfg and the prison part we got super lucky we all kept shooting the wheels and then from dattos cell i saw the lever no one had shot it yet and it opened for us pure luck haha. Second time was with a mic'd team and we were stuck way longer. Im happy to way i did eventually figure out what the marks meant and we got out 😅

This was the first time ive genuinely had fun playing D2 since the year of forsaken. This is the potential of this game im always talking about, good well designed content doesnt need cheesy wipe mechanics or pointless timers. Good content is just enjoyable and difficult because of its good design. I do wonder if you can even solo that first encounter since i constantly had eyes spawn out of my firing view and had to have teammates get them for me sadly

Just wanted to drop the info here. If you're going to do this dungeon on master difficulty don't. I dit it yesterday and the triumph that was supposed to give me the ghost has instead gave me the sparrow from ghost of the deep The ghost is required for the title

Yeah, I don’t know what the god rolls are yet, but caster frame swords need serious buffs. The sniper is competing with Supremacy and Praedyths revenge which make me feel like I don’t need another rapid fire frame. The sidearm seems the most interesting and the bow.

How does anyone think these bosses have too much health? They weren’t optimal at all for any of the bosses and they killed them quite quickly. I think people either cry when a boss isn’t made if paper. Or think the dungeon should be tuned for only solo. Which is dumb.

They weren’t optimal, no, but Tractor -> Shotty -> Punch is also an extremely high damage output regardless. There’s a reason Bungie continually nerfs it. Also, to be fair, Destiny is their career. The skill gap between them and the average player is going to be pretty high.

He’s saving it for when he actually gets a first drop of the guns he wants. Secret chests only give you repeat loot, so new chances at different rolls of things you’ve already gotten

First and second boss have a good amount of health. Final has around 13.5 million, though, so it can feel pretty slow.

the first boss doesn't have much, you'll totally melt him if you just throw on a sword like Lament or something else easy for damage. the second boss has a fair bit, but overall isn't awful, and the third one definitely has a fair bit more, but the encounter progresses through multiple damage phases so it doesn't feel as slow as it might to watch. i two manned it today with a buddy and on our second run (for the quest) we two-phased the second boss and got the final boss on our second run through the circuit (~5 really short damage phases) so they can be a bit tanky (especially the third one) but definitely nowhere near the Ghosts bosses in terms of health. i would be surprised if a decent solo needed more than 4 or 5 phases for any of them

First boss is made of cardboard, second boss is average dungeon boss difficulty health-wise, final boss is a lot beefier than you think, but it doesn't feel that way when you're doing the fight.

Well done bungie on the environment. First time in a long time I felt like they have over delivered. Huge potential for hidden items which I'm hoping they have done. First play through my thoughts are it's good but i miss the timer on dungeons just add that extra edge and pressure. This dungeon on a timer would be chefs kiss good just like whisper and outbreak.

Hardest part was getting out of the cells only to realize that the encounter was bugged and all of the doors connecting the cells were closed when they should be open...

It’s not a bug. The doors are all open if you’re solo, one door is open if it’s a twosome, nothing is open in a full team.

Watching every group not know how they de-shielded the first boss, and then continually shoot the jail spinners when every device in the game will react to a single shot, is truly mind numbing. It also tells us that this dungeon's mechanics are not communicated well at all.

They are pretty clear I just think they are far simpler than other mechanics and that tripped them up. There is clearly a capture zone from crucible around the totem so communicating it is not the issue. It’s the gigabrains of the streamers lmao.

i blind duoed the entire dungeon and we figured out all these things you mentioned pretty fast (we still took 202 minutes because we explored Everything and our 3rd encounter dmg was not optimal). its not the dungeon issue, imo its just different people's mindsets towards these things. we only started wiping in the 3rd encounter (its a lot of incoming dmg)

The final boss is actually really damn beefy, but it doesn't feel that way because it's a legitimately fun fight.

i think i heard somewhere that its actually around the same HP pool lmfao. but with the dmg times between the main dmg phase it feels better. plus you can technically one dmg phase the boss since naehm(??)'s wish buff only initates when you are on the upper plates for dps, meaning after one upper dps plate you can drop down, collect heavy ammo (or even wait like 10 minutes for ur super to naturally recharge if ur insane and dont want to go through more phases) and then come back up and dmg the boss again. plus the immunity timer of the boss during the upper plate dps is actually dependent on all of the blighted eyes fully spawning, and if you have one person on eye-killing (i used trinity ghoul and it mostly worked) you can extend the dps time to let your friends keep damaging the boss.
