Fergie summed up the Queen's reign beautifully: "a steadying presence as our head of state". Wonderful that Fergie was able to attend the Queen's👑 funeral.
Why would people NOT expect Fergie? She may have been divorced from Prince Andrew...but she WAS a member of the family once...and she is still MOTHER to the queen's grandchildren.
When you are an in-law and you become divorced from your spouse, you don't lose your love for the extended family. The love for the parent-inlaws, the sister-in-law's brother-in-law's, nieces, nephews, is still there. When you hear one has died, sadness and grief is felt. This grief needs an outlet. Good on Duchess of York Sarah for attending
I was very happy to see Fergie at the Queen's funeral. She is a really nice person. I was so proud of Princess Beatriz supporting her mom. This was a very touching moment to see both walking together. ❤
Me to, I think, she gets a bad rap, I think Andrew, was not an easy man, to live with, must less being married to, considering what we know about him, and she still forgave him, and he went back, to her, and now there living together, under one. Roof 💁🏻♀️
@@Marcel_Audubon Rubbish ! Fergie lives close to the Queen and they met regularly, and walk the dogs in Windsor great park AND there is photographic evidence. Besides which our Queen never bore grudges and was a compassionate person .
@@lindastorey4441 Fergie lived "close to the queen" because she and her creepy, pervy husband never supported themselves and lived in one of the properties on the Queen's estate. Fergie would watch out the window for hours until she saw the Queen out with her corgis and then run out to catch up to her. "damn! here comes that self serving grifter again - can't even walk my beloved dogs in peace on my own property" thought the Queen on these occasions. Yes, there IS photographic evidence of this. The Quenn did not bear grudges? ...agreed and cutting a self serving grifter out of your life isn't bearing a grudge, it's simply avoiding self serving grifters - something we all do.
@@lindastorey4441 Thats very true. She lives with her ex Andrew not far from the Queen. However she avoided P. Philip who did'nt forgive her for "THE SCANDAL" that caused so much shame for the RF.
I'm not surprised at all that Sarah was at this funeral. I know that inspite of what happened between her and Andrew, she loved and respected the Queen. I'm glad that she was apart of the family walking in and paying her respects. I believe that's the way the Queen would've wanted it. God bless all of them.😌😌😌
No she did NOT RESPECT THE QUEEN! Trying to sell access to Andrew to make a few $$ was not respecting the QUEEN.. IT WAS MONETISING HER EX HUSBANDS FAMILY AND USING PEOPLE!
Everyone knew that she'd be there, she was very close to the Queen. They would walk the corgis together, gave the Queen her corgis, and is going to care for them. No surprise.
@@marilynlovelady607 the Dorgi, Candy passed this summer. She was 18. I have read that Lissy, the spaniel may be taken by he trainer, or she may stay with the Corgis so they are not separated. Have you heard anything new?
@@naomichisholm7709 yes indeed . Love to see those in that situation to be supportive for children and ex or present spouse. As well as respect for the dead.
Well done to whoever arranged that. Fergie has always been a part of QE2's reign of history and is the mother of two reigning Monarchs nieces. She deserves to be there. Much unnecessarily maligned in past years, I truly hope to see her once again participate (in some small way) to the smooth running of the Realm. Good to see you there Fergie.😀
It was lovely to see you- Fergie Please look after the queens dogs. They will need alot of love and kisses. I love animals- they are loyal and never fail their happiness when they see you.
Lol! Without hurting anyone? You obviously haven’t seen the different scandals she’d been involved with, capitalising on her royal connections. She’s easily forgiven while Princess Diana and now Harry & Megan Markle were being demonised (by the lairds of the firm)
She wouldn't have just come along. This was an invitation only funeral. HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN would have had her funeral planned for years. Bible Reading, Hymns, how she wanted things done and who was to be invited. It wasnt a wing it funeral, it was well organized right down to the sand on the ground to protect the horses from injury during the procession.
I believe the Queen wanted Sarah there for the reasons stated in this news post. They got along well, even after the divorce, and the Queen saw how devoted Sarah was to her granddaughters. That's sufficient for me. I like the sentiment behind the brooch, too.
Very glad the Duchess ("Fergie") was there to mourn the loss of the Queen & support her daughters. She is such a wonderful woman, a great friend to Princess Diana, and a good friend to Queen Elizabeth after Prince Philip passed away (when she needed a comforting friend the most). She definitely deserved to be there!
Indeed. Such a lovely down to earth and pleasant woman The way she stood back from her girls despite been asked to move forward and she declined and stayed behind all the royal grandchildren speaks volumes on this lovely humble lady who prefers to stay in the background and not hog the lime light
Didn't behave much like a duchess frolicking around topless in front of her 2 princess daughters who had no clothes on in the boiling sun, not even pants, she's trash humiliated, the late Queen & late Duke of Edinburgh no wonder he wouldn't be in same room as her
She was not unexpected, nor was her outfit a surprise. 🙄 Everyone knows the Queen and Fergie had a good relationship. Fergie has always had a flair for style and I think her choice was fabulous. Be kind!
Not true she was always seen as fashion PR disaster. Remember she was found topless and another man sucking her toes? It's only since her divorce and public lower profile has she rebranded herself
Sarah was not unexpected, we’ve heard all week she’d be at the funeral. Elizabeth would have been glad she was there. And there’s nothing to talk about concerning the outfit-unless it would be how much in good taste it is. It is lovely to see her. The swallow’s a nice touch.
Queen Elizabeth was a true leader with deep sense of dedication and passion for the nations especially of the common wealth. We love you and you will be greatly missed. We commiserate with the Royal family and His majesty King Charles Ill and we pray the grace through this time and your remaining years of service to humanity. "GOD SAVE THE KING"
I love Fergie, she's a very strong woman, she truly loved her prince, and still does, after all she the mother of his children and still supports him, ❤
Sarah treats PA well and truly loves him and by his side atbad times too she married for live and respected the queen not like Meghan who married for $$ and not love her hubby instead using him and thresh his family and the queen
The state funeral for the late great Queen Elizabeth, the Second was a magnificent showcase of British traditions, colorful and musical splendor! A real unforgettable moment in history, not just British history but a moment in world history! Princess Catherine of Wales now looked stunningly beautiful as always and other senior Royal women looked lovely and elegant as well! Loved how Princess Charlotte looked especially her hat! Both she and Prince George were the epitome of well mannered, and well behaved children! May the Queen rest in peace and 'God Save the King" who is my age, born in 1948, post WW2! Glad to see Sarah Ferguson there as well and she's also been through a few tragic losses herself. 💗💗
So glad Sarah was there. She had a good relationship with her ex- Mother-in-law and maintained good friendships, by being friendly, respectful and measured in how she chose to live her separate life from the Royals after the divorce (with the odd blip!). A lot of people felt able to relate to Fergie, because she seemed so genuine.
The mother of 2 of the Queen's Grandchildren was always going to be there. And I quite admire how she and Andrew have kept together after their divorce for the benefit of their kids. She was very much wrongly maligned when in the public eye.
I’m so pleased Sarah was there the Queen would have wanted Sarah to be there she knew that Andrew would need support. Sarah isn’t a bad person she very generous of her time and money and that has led her to make bad choices so it’s said. But the Queen loved her and often popped in for a cuppa. Bless Sarah she stood by Andrew because she knows his innocent and will always be there for him as he has been there for her.
I’m so glad to see Sarah Fergusson at the Queens funeral, despite being divorced Sarah and Andrew have always retained their dignity and friendship towards each other and raised two very nice girls together. I always think it’s such a shame it never worked between them.
I was glad to see Fergie there I think she has really had to struggle and prove herself you have to give her credit for that regardless of what you think of her she has been a great daughter-in-law to the queen
She's a child of her times. No reason to hold a grudge against her. And there's never been any fuss made about her returning to live under the same roof as Prince Andrew.
It was good to see Sarah there. It seems that there was a lot of love and mercy present, covering up some difficult times. It was said that the Queen was happy that Sarah was supporting Andrew. People make mistakes and they pay the price but love prevails.
I was looking for Sarah. I caught a glimpse of her twice. People need to realise she had a close relationship with the Queen. If we who had never met the Queen were affected by our grief, Sarah must be devastated. It is about paying respect all round. Nobody should be denied this.
Being a trained history scholar, l learnt and saw her great grandmother, the Great Queen Victoria's opulent funeral, but seeing and witness as l would also say, the Great Queen Elizabeth II's funeral is spectacular and magnificent!
I'm not surprised. The swallow broach is lovely and I'm glad she was able to be there. Despite her life choices, her family was close to the Queen and she provided guidance when she was able.
Fergie and Andrew raised their daughters together - living in the same place - Sandringham I think, but still apart. The Queen was very fond of her and recently they spent a lot of time together. I was very happy to see her there.
I wasn't completely surprised but I was very, very happy to see her. Her family needed her there. She and the late Queen got along well and I thought that she would be invited. I felt that the scandal rags loved to hate Fergie because they were disappointed in her. They wanted another Lady Diana. They got a tom-boy that rode horses instead. She is the only Royal that I had anything in common with: raised in a barn and a bit loud. (no, I did not marry a prince). I was sad when they divorced. She and Prince Andrew had their own problems but they did something right in raising their daughters.
Dear Fergie your presence at HER Majesty's funeral showed your genuine love and respect to the queen and to your beloved husband and your beloved daughters. God bless you.
Rest in peace queen Elizabeth the 2nd. You will be missed even in the usa. You were truly an inspiration and wonderful person. I pray to your families and friends as well as everyone that misses you for them to get both love and support and happiness. We all miss you queen Elizabeth! Farwell
May Our Majesty Queen Elizabeth ii R.I.P, An Amazing beautiful Queen and Person. I do hope someone writes a book about Our Late Queen and her Love for horses . Lovely surprise to see Fergie .
Thank you and I'm so tired of doing trying to act like Fergie just did the most. Fergie never did Even though Diana is dead now she never did have to crap Diana dead by going on TV airing out the family and having the world drag everybody. Camila destroyed a whole marriage and is the reason why Charles and Diana divorced to begin with. Even though Diana had her Affairs I'm not negating that I'm just saying I believe Diana would have stopped her Affairs had Charles come back to her and left Camilla alone. Camilla is front row seat and she ain't got no bloodline within the Royal family. So therefore Fergie had better points of being there than Camilla because she got grandkids that is the Queen's grandchildren. She had every right to be there. Henry and Megan were there and they started all day damn bull crap the last couple years of the Queen's life with their lies
@Lace cocoa Charles marriage with Diana was doomed from the start, Charles was and always been in a relationship with Camilla well before and after Diana came on the scene. What happend wth charles & diana had nothing to do with fergie.
THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS, IT WAS REALLY NICE TO WATCH & HEAR ABOUT THE POSITIVE COMMENTS ON TWITTER, BUT ALSO HERE, NO SNIDE COMMENTS JUST PURE NICENESS & POSITIVITY. THANK YOU. ✌️😊 🇬🇧
Definitely not unexpected! She is the mother of 2 beautiful princesses Eugeine and Beatrice, she is still on good terms with Prince Andrew. She too is grieving for the Queen with whom she had a good relationship. Of course she would be included!
