I moved to wyoming last year, excited to get out of liberal dictatorship but moved to something that depresses me dearly. Didn't realize how bad the state was regarding it's own wildlife you have people who don't understand wolves and are living under 100 + years of misinfo to not only help spread fear about wolves but also to continue a trade which should be banned completely I was always tough in schools the fur trade was banned and didn't know wyoming still practices fur trade. The fact hunters can poison and torture animals here is disgusting and shows zero respect for wildlife and hunters don't care if the poison makes it to other animals either is the animal being eating by other wildlife was poisoned. Poison stays in a dead animal for a while and as long as animals feed on it the poison spreads. Tbh im disgusted with this state for a whole different reason and as a christian and a conservative that stands behind this wold was gods creation and that we are the caretakers of his creation that also means we need to protect all life he creates. Wolves were eradicated from the united states almost completely for several reasons 1 fur trade and 2 fear and 3 allows people to kill elk and deer in larger quantities peoples thirst for killing here is tragic. I get hunting for food but for sport is sad
Yes, your fellow citizens were content to sit back in that bar and voice no objections or seek medical help for the wolf. If ever in distress, I doubt you will get much more consideration either. Enjoy Wyoming! Puts some perspective on the "liberal dictatorship," I think. Maybe a better descriptor is "decent liberal dictatorship," because nobody present for that crime was decent.
The details are even more gruesome and vile than originally reported including the use of dog shock collars and a baseball bat. The fact that Joe Blow Nobody can bring a captive wild animal to a public place and torture and kill it with impunity is more frightening to me because it means wildlife will soon be extinct.
Wolves are nessessary to maintain the balance of Elk, Moose, Deer etc.. Many large animals develop desises that they cannot be ate after harvest. Wolves do kill these animals and it keeps the eco balance. Wolves do not target or attack humans and are afraid of you.
Not once during this hearing did the Wy. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, mention that Cody Roberts is a contract employee for them and the Wy Dept of Transportation. Roberts worked for both agencies before and AFTER the wolf torture incident. He has been paid a minimum of $130,000 by the Dept. of Transportation alone. Wy is not capable of governing themselves.
