The nation's wealth is the sum of the collectively accumulated riches of workers, savers, investors, and creators.....not the collective, evenly distributed wealth of everybody who simply exists within the borders. Not one of those people on camera can go 8 hours without crack, meth, and/or a 12 pack of shoplifted beer.

Please don't yield to the temptation to compare Jacksonville to New York City. There is simply no relative comparison to be made Jacksonville is nearly three times bigger than New York City in physical size however New York City is nearly seven times bigger than Jacksonville in population.

Exactly. Replace the governor with a Dem and suddenly republicans see all the homelessness and blame it on him/her. It's the same with crimes, not many people know that Florida has consistently have a higher murder rate than New York. But the perception is that Florida is safe and New York isn't, due to republican and fox news propaganda. Republicans only see something as an issue when it's happening under a Dem, otherwise they turn a blind eye and paint a rosy picture.
Just paying them to stay on street is not a answer. Why did they get rid of mental hospitals? Mental homes where they can get help. Homes for veterans with cafeteria so they can come and go. The other side of state they have reduced housing for those homeless they pay part of rent.

Almond milk a half gallon is 9.00 . The influx of migrants over 30 years is 130 million people. And not just latino. Over 785 companies left america last year. In past 20 years 10's of thousands have left america. The pandemic has put people out if jobs let alone business, and many business won't open again. The rents are unreasonable for today's QUALITY of life. Both parents have to work. Two jobs. To properly support family. Then must have kids busy with after school kick boxing or ballet or something music lessons. Something. Rent should go down. It won't. Now is the time to find three friends to rent 3 bedroom den(turn into a bedroom) and split the cost of living Or buy something CHEAP. OTHER WISE YOUR SCREWED. A 3 DEDROOM HOUSE IS PROBLY ABOUT 23 TO 2500 WHERE U ARE. 500 IS NOTHING. THREE COUPLES AND U. ROOMIES PAY 500 EACH. THEN U GET CABLE WATER TRASH GAS SEWAGE. YA ALL SPLIT ELECTRIC .
