Crouch was actually very technically gifted. He had a velvet coushin like first touch which is pretty extraordinary for a man of his size. He had a good awareness of his team mates around him and was an effective focal point with his slick link up play. Could also finish well and he has scored some goals in his career that the very best forwards in the world would be proud of.

Obvously coming from a man who actually WATCHED him play. I'm just so tired of people who just look at him as a heading specialist, set piece target, a tall target man and that's it. He wasn't even so good with his head/in the air, he was good but there were always plenty of better players. And his techical quality always remained overlooked. He was a mobile player, great to link up with, intelligent, had the vision, awareness.. Football fans in general are just so superficial and barely watch the game properly.

Able to hold up play, as pointed out by J.C., distribute and be in the right place at the right time. Some Great goals. Great S.O.H. Why did LFC sell him? One word! Profit! He was bought for £6M and sold for £12M! imo he'd have doubled that if the-powers-that-be at Liverpool had stuck with him. A sad day for me when he departed.

As an ethnic minority living in the UK, there's a lot of awareness about racism to help protect people like myself. When there are racial issues, it seems 95% of the country stands together to fight against it. However, discrimination isn't just about racism, sexism, homophobia and so on, it comes in many forms, like with Peter Crouch and his height. The difference is that there simply aren't that many people as tall as Peter Crouch, so when there's discrimination against him, people don't really see it as an issue, because it's only one man talking about it, rather than the whole nation. In fact, the discrimination against Crouch is actually far worse, because he has to face it alone, with nobody understanding how it affects him.
