I’ve been cheated on a few times, but i can finally say that i feel like i AM worthy and my self esteem is pretty great. Cheating says nothing about the person who gets cheated on, and everything about the person who cheats.

My father has been having an affair for God knows how long. We knew it all along, and I feel like he knows that we know. I love him so much. Being the youngest in the family, I was really confused about the concept of cheating. As soon as I found out, I didn't know what to do. I have been depressed and contemplated suicide many times. The one thing that hurts me the most is: I still talk to him through email just to ask how he's doing or if I need money for school or because I simply miss him. He hasn't come home for 6 years and I doubt that he will.

My girlfriend cheated on me last week I’ve been for her for 5 years and don’t think o will never be able to recover from it tbh

I got cheated on by my bf too. He has been dating this other girl SECRETLY for 3 years while he first started dating me. Basically I was the other girl. Every time I asked him if he was hiding something, he could cry and tell me he wasn't and he loved me. The other girl found out about me and contacted me. I was so angry, I walked to his house at midnight with my two other friends and beat him with my umbrella and broke his car. A totally immature move I know but I was just so hurt. When I asked him why he did what he did and he said she was in love with him and he didn't want to hurt her so he continued dating her and then he met me and liked me and started dating me too and he hid it from both of us because he didn't want to hurt us both. I don't know if I did right or wrong. It's been a few months now and some days it's hard not to miss him but I know I deserve better. I only want the best for him and I hope he finds the love of his life and stays loyal to her because it truly breaks a person so badly. (Excuse my English it's not my first language)

Cheaters are the worst. To hurt someone's son/daughter just because you couldn't keep your pants on or your curiousity got the better of you. It's the worst.

I was cheated on multiple times. Each time I forgave her. After 3 years now of so much heart break. I realize that everything bad that happens to you happens for a reason. Not as a punishment. But a way to grow and learn. And more importantly to Love and Forgive.

I don't date anymore, I've come to understand that if you don't have the emotional foundation to bring yourself back-up from being cheated on or dumped or feeling bad for cheating, you'll crumble. I'm in the process of loving myself, accepting everything of myself, and that I don't really need other people's love if I don't have my own. Everyone of us have probably dated and it ended badly, no one thought us how to cope alone when our hearts are broken, there was always someone there to help us. Crying can only do so much and that also applies to those that have cheated. No one thought you how to not break someone's heart, and if you did and feel sorry for it you have no idea how to cope with it, no one is there for you because you'll look bad by saying you cheated on so and so. No one thought you how to forgive. Forgiveness is for one's self, not them. I've become this sort of emotional support friend when they have no other to support them when they need some emotional guidance, I don't have all the answers but I can at least guide them to find one that isn't so depressing.

I hope that people who get cheated on by their partners grow to understand that their negative actions have nothing to do with you but everything to do with them and parts of them that need internal healing . NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU❤️.This is why it’s so important to love/value yourself and the relationship you have with yourself before you seek love from other people. When people don’t love themselves they tend to hurt others because they’re never satisfied with what they’re getting from one person. Because of that, they are constantly seeking for someone to fill that void. Just layering pain on top of pain. When you really understand that hurt people, hurt people, you will never blame yourself for someone else’s actions again. It doesn’t mean that their negative actions won’t still hurt, but the process to healing from it will be much different. I wish that everyone would take steps to focus on healing themselves.

Do not cheat; there’s shouldn’t be “because” theres no excuse to do it. If you have an issue; go couple therapy. Go read 5 love languages. Relationship/marriage isn’t easy.. but if two people are strong enough to work together, they will get thru whatever will come to them.

My first boyfriend cheated on me whilst I was in a coma. I only found out two weeks ago and it has changed my whole perception on guys and dating. Straight away I blamed myself and how if I had never been in that coma then he would've never cheated on me and we would still be together and in love. Now I just look at myself in the mirror and wonder what she has that I don't and I cry myself to sleep every night just thinking this over. I had always had self-esteem issues and had always been quiet and embarrassed to talk to guys in school as a lot of people found me quiet or boring to be around. And then this guy came out of nowhere and I fell for him, hard and I actually trusted him when I had mad trust issues prior to this. He was my first everything; my first kiss, love, the guy I lost my virginity to, my first heartbreak and the first guy to cheat on me. It has totally, undeniably changed my perception on guys and I have no idea how I'm going to be able to trust another guy and let him into my life when at the back of my mind, all I'm going to think about is whether this guy will cheat on me and lose the trust I had built with him. It hurts. I don't know what to do. I'm lost.

I found out years after breaking up with my abuser that he was cheating the entire time. It hit me hard and I didn’t know what to do with myself for a bit. However, I’ve made my peace with it now. I knew he had issues and this is just another to add to an already long list. I deserved better than him. Now that I’ve found my life partner six years later I’m grateful everyday that I don’t have to deal with being mistreated anymore. I can just live and love and let myself be happy.

Not knowing you're the other woman, but finally finding out when you're totally in love with the person is extremely painful. And then suddenly finding out that he gets married after 3 weeks is horrible. Knowing that I was the other woman, makes me feel so bad for his girlfriend. My dad cheated on my mum and I was the one who found out I found dating apps on his phone, an eyebrow pencil in his car I asked who’s that for and he was so scared, I told my mum about the dating apps she knew about the eyebrow pencil because it was in 2016, my mum just came out of hospital, my mum got cheated on while she was in hospital she was pregnant with my 6th sibling.... it was an amazing boy with gorgeous green eyes, changed my mums life she would send dirty pics to my mum and do shisha which made me sad ( before she was pregnant) , after she was pregnant my mum and dad were on the kitchen counter doing it, i got mad smashed an apple on the floor they never knew one time I thought my parents were having that in the shower I was crying and crying, because like my dad cheated on my mum dies he really think we are gonna forgive him my mum forgave him one more time but he broke it she’s still here with him and I can’t take it I don’t like my dad anymore and he knows that i get pissed once he comes and he makes me angry I’ve tried to commit sucide many times my dad also expects me to forgive him guess what that man is never home I loved my dad I really did I don’t like him anymore
