People passing by a statue in Saint Peter's at Vatican City in Rome, Italy. They rub the toes in hopes of being blessed, and they have done it so much that the toes have been rubbed off.
This was originally a statue made of the Roman god Jupiter, moved from the Pantheon, and renamed Peter. Not only is this a pagan idol of Jupiter, it is also a violation of the Commandments. You're not to create or worship statues of anything on the Earth, in the seas, or the Heavens. This is in fact idolatry. They even dress the statue at Christmas time.

It is however immaterial when it was made, it is still a graven image, venerated by Catholics. In the same way, the Catholic Church came into possession of the Word of God; they stole it from Biblical Christians and Jews, then claim a false connection to Peter, who in their tradition, they murdered along with millions of other Christians and Jews, among others. Peter never stepped foot in Rome! He served as an Elder along with the Lord's brother James, also murdered by Rome, in Jerusalem. Paul ministered to Rome and never mentioned Peter being there or sitting as Rome's Bishop. The first recognized Pope wouldn't be till Gregory in 595AD. The only connection Rome has to Jesus is they persecuted, crucified, occupied, and martyred His Church, then withheld the Word from people until a few of their own priests held them accountable, and secretly translated the Gospels, and broke them down into chapters and verses in the native tongue of their nations. A crime for which they were persecuted, and in most circumstances, were burned at the stake, tied to two ships, and torn apart, stretched, gutted, beheaded, whatever nasty torture the Papacy could think of, in an attempt to prevent the Gospels reaching the general public. They failed! And once people had it, they rejected Catholic heresy and were deemed "Protestants"/Anathema. Every Bible used today with chapters and verses, was presented by those "Protestants". It wouldn't be till the 1960s that the Catholic Mass would even be spoken in languages besides Latin.

The old statue of Jupiter with its occult blessing hand is now St. Peter in the Vatican.The statues of the gods from the Roman Pantheon can now be found in the Vatican Museum with the exception of the great statue of Jupiter, which has been modified, re-titled, and seated on a throne in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome as St. Peter. Thousands of pilgrims kiss the foot of Jupiter while thinking it is the statue of Peter and it has been nearly worn away from the many pilgrims who kiss paying homage
If it was made over a millennia after Peter left earth (died), then how can you even call it Peter when it has no resemblance? It would be like calling a picture of Taylor Swift your mom.
@@lehuynguyen8400 That is one claim of the church, they also claim they don't know who made it,, which is likely the truth. This is one of more than 40,000 pagan relics displayed at the Vatican. Regardless of who made it and whom it is to represent, it Is still an idol being venerated by Catholics.

You should forget that moment and pray for forgiveness. That is actually a statue of false God jupiter taken from Greece. You should have no graven images period. Not of Mary or Peter or Jesus. No graven images. Don't show reverence for an inanimate object that can be made with human hands. It doesn't talk or move. Why would you do that?
I know for a fact that Jesus Christ didn't kiss no statue's feet. Perhaps we should follow Jesus more instead of using him a sin-cleanser. Perhaps we should practice circumcision like Jesus Maybe we should eat only permissible food like Jesus. Maybe we should prostrate to the Almighty God just like Jesus did when he worship the Almighty God in Gethsemane.
