Carp fishing is so underrated

Carp fishing is huge in Europe. I'm from the UK and there are while stores dedicated to carp fishing. Hair rigs was ek on many other species too.

I've seen a few comments asking how to put the bait onto the hair rig. So I hope this helps. You can use a hair rig needle. It is like a regular sewing needle with the sharp end embedded in some plastic (or something to make gripping easier). The eye is cut so it is open at one side. You thread the bait onto the needle. Hook the loop of the hair rig onto the eye. Slide the bait up onto the hair rig. Take out the needle and put a little bit of twig, or something hopefully biodegradable, into the loop to act as a stopper. Then slide the bait down to the stopper. Done. Once you get used to it, it can be even easier than using regular hooks.

Carp are some of the best reel ripping fish to catch, they get huge too. You should look into the blowback rig. A personal favorite of mine.

Love catching these fish. They fight pound for pound harder than bass and get even bigger. Try some method rigs with those hair rigs. It's the same as putting pack bait on a weight but it's got a ribbed cage to hold bait better

im so annoyed abt the people saying carp are “trash fish” yeah, that is their nickname, but im talking abt the people who literally think they are trash fish. they arent useless. here at the tennessee river, you cant eat a carp cus you could get sick. in other rivers or lakes that are clean, you can eat, and i personally think they taste quite nice.

since i couldn't catch any carp today i just bought one so o won't stay hungry

I personally do consider carp "trash" that's mostly just because they're invasive. I do however quite enjoy bow fishing for them here, and while I don't eat them I do use them as bait for coyote hunting
