I would love to see what your feet are doing, you have awsome talent and this is not hatred just a suggestion to help useless drummers such as me. #Maggotsunite
As a drummer i have nothing but respect for you. There are a lot of people out there who think that this is just random, fast drumming when it fact it takes a lot of skill and discipline to pull off, good work, man!
so i know nothing about drum setups etc. how does that work? youre saying usualy this song is covered on a 19 piece kit. so if you play it like this guy on a kit much smaller with way less drums, how can you fully play the song correctly if theres drums you cant hit because you dont have them?
Listened to this last night as a random recommendation on youtube and spend the rest of the night listening to the first 2 slipknot albums! Thanks for reigniting my love for slipknot!
Ha, the RU-vid algorithm knows me well. Recommended this to me, a six day old vid with 41k views from a guy with just 16k subs. Looks like I got here early. Killer drums dude, well done. Just subscribed and looking forward to seeing more!
Really great video, and I love that you've set up some lights as well. However - if I may offer some unsolicited advice regarding the video itself. It looks like you're upping the shutter speed of the camera quite a bit, perhaps to darken the footage, as there might be too much light entering the lens. However, this does result in "choppy" footage. For the most natural look I would recommend a 180-degree shutter setting, which on most camera's translates to double the minimum shutter speed. If you're shooting 25 fps, you'll need to use 1/50, if you're using 30 fps then 1/60 would be best, etc. If there's too much light, you could always adjust the aperture up to f11-15, but if you'd like to keep a bit more depth of field, you would need to use an ND-filter to darken the image. The fact that it is a bit choppy however does add to the chaos, which you were perhaps hoping to capture. But I do think it would be great to see your moves in even greater detail. I hope you forgive me for barging in like this in the comment section. All in all a great video man!
This is the kind of criticism any creator appreciates having. That's the kind of feedback a lot of people would love to have because it's not something most would recognize without it being pointed out!
I am just absolutely blown away by this performance! You are insanely talented, tight and graceful. I cannot believe how easy you make this look; amazing job! This is by far one of my favorite drum covers now.
I remember thinking this song was soo hard as a teenager but it's actually very straight forward to play and not even close to approaching the harder end of the metal drumming spectrum. By saying that I'm by no means implying this guy isn't good - he played it beautifully and it sounds incredible; just commenting on how perceptions change over years. I had no idea drumming could become as crazy as Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Oceans Ate Alaska, etc.
Joey Jordison is so underrated especially among metalheads. His drumming is what makes Slipknot songs so excitingly chaotic. RIP and thank you, Joey for your work.
@@partagascigaro9694He was among metalheads. Nobody really sees him (or Slipknot) in general as good musicians like how metalheads see Gene Hoglan or George Kollias. If any, metalheads seemed to discredit him as not having skills but just speed.
Parabéns! Isso é o que chamo de drums couver! Enquadrou a imagem da gravação em ângulos para facilitar o aprendizado com intuito de tirar as dúvidas da galera, Também afinou a batera de acordo com a música.
Joey was very creative. Makes anyone look smashing behind a kit. Awesome job. I love how you kept it very close to original and your style gives it good flare. Rock on brother. I know I've always had fun playing a7x with old Mike and the rev. Slipknot and a oldie but goody with vinny Paul behind the drums 'pantara.. Solid bro. Good show.
A buddy of mine had an acrylic set like that. Might have been a pearl idk; I don’t remember. But I never liked how it sounded. But you have it mic’d up perfectly. It sounds exactly perfect. Very nice.
Dude I fr thought at the begging of this that hes just another basic high res high frame rate drum cover guy that lowkey sucks at drums. But once the Intro was over and I saw his enthusiasm and actually saw him playing his hardest I immediately had to like it. This is the stuff that inspires people to become musicians
