Ehh idk the show actually expanded more on the ghoul lore by adding that they needed this "Vial" to prevent feralisation but they dont actually explain what that is other than it is a PreWar Chem
Which could have been a simple addition to the lore of the games that would allow for more diverse player characters. If I want to make my character have 1 Intelligence and block out mission objectives and dialogue options, why can't I be a Ghoul or a Synth or a Super Mutant and have THAT dictate the types of shenanigans I can get up to?
How exactly? The show indicates that ghouls have to constantly consume some kind of drug in order to maintain their sanity, or they become feral. For creatures that do not die of old age, that is an unsustainable task.
It's really no different than doing a run where you're addicted to chems or a cannibal. It's more difficult and challenging (which some players like) but it's in no way impossible. I've seen a guy beat New Vegas using nothing but a fork. Nobody told him to do it, he just did. That's certainly got to be more difficult than simply being a ghoul.
@@usmh Hey don't just discredit the guy's copy/paste quote that we've all seen a million times. Just copy and then paste it to the next video! I already did my part and dropped that line on an old Blue's Clues upload.
I am pleasantly surprised with this series, and I've binged it repeatedly since it came out. I was worried Amazon would botch it, but they thankfully nailed the entire Fallout feel and humor. It is truly a great show. I am going to cry if Amazon doesn't continue the series.
Major correction: Bud's Buds aren't test-tube babies, they're living pre-war middle-managers and prospective executives who were put into in cryo-sleep like we saw in Fallout 4. The prime example is Betty: She was a middle-manager / executive assistant in her 30s or early 40s when The Bombs fell, and she was put into cryo-sleep and kept in Vault 31 in a sort of numerical order of who would become Vault 33's Overseers over the ensuing decades and centuries. And Bud himself is a rather morbid relic: As one of the major architects of The Vault 31 Plan but an otherwise unassuming yes-man, he was made to endure 200+ years as a nearly-helpless Brain In A Jar.
And Dane isn't a girl, norm doesn't explore vault 32 during the raid attack, the dog isn't the one who is pursued but the doctor... Stopped watching because obviously it's full of randomly incorrect information.
One thing we know from Chernobyl is that in a few decades, the earth will return to wilderness. The only wastelands will be those which are wastelands now.
Chernobyl was a reactor meltdown. The radiation is there and affected nature but nature wasn't fkn deleted first in that situation. Drop 30 nuclear bombs somewhere and that area is just done. Look at the test sites in Nevada, Siberia, and the few Islands that were testing sites. They're all just barren. Maybe some small weeds but nothing else You also aren't counting the fact that the reason for the worldwide nuke war in fallout was the fact that global resources were dwindling heavily due to every aspect of human life requiring nuclear power.
@@gabrielmontesinos6435exactly 2 different types of isotopes , you can't use what you have in a reactor for a bomb , they are not the same and like you said a meltdown n an explosion are different animals
IS IT ACTUALLY GOOD?! if you have heard a lot have complain about it saying because a lot of people say it's gonna be wo'ke which of course those who say wok'eness is a problem are a bunch of bs right wing con''spiracy du'mb**ses and it's not actually a problem it's just stu'pid attention for money and it's actually irl har'mful for what people use the term for even if it's the complete opposite if you look at the definition
I just happen to be on a FO4 playthrough. Didn't know this existed. I only realised 5 minutes in that I'm spoiling it for my self. It looks so much like the game that I was mesmerized. Off to Amazon I guess 😊.
No you wouldnt, the non-frozen component of the vault (Guards and scientists) fought each other leaving the scientists dead so they would never wake you up. you'd be frozen until the power ran out at which point you would die
Vault 76 was pretty chill. Maybe you'll be living your entire life in the vault but at least you'll grow old and die lol. Very similar to Vault 33 other than not having other vaults connected to it.
@barronhelmutschnitzelnazi2188 what was the point of 76? Without spoiling, vault 33, 32 and 31 had a reason. But as far as I can tell 76 was just a normal vault
@Angel_423 it was pretty much a normal vault. Besides, they only selected the brightest and best to live in it. Basically, geniuses and such, I suppose. When things get better outside, they're forced to venture out, and the vaults power dies as intended, so they don't stay/come back(according to wiki). It's probably the reason why we can't reenter the vault after leaving it in the game.
FO4 specified that all the frozen people other than the baby and the protag died of failing cryo pod so it's not so bright unless you are baby or named John Fallout the fourth
watched the show and just watched the recap and have to say. im very disappointed in the amount of wrong info in the recap. mostly small details but important ones.
I love how the ghoul isnt just a normal villain ''oo i like kill people'' he has a dark past and in the end teams up with Lucy. It shows he is really trying to survive and uncover what happened. Edit: not the replies saying the same thing I said but wording it better
He's not a villain, just someone on his own quest line to find his family. He's lived in the wasteland for 218 years, he's only just became accustomed to it. Bit of an antagonist, at first, but he improves after Lucy saved his life.
Some corrections to the video btw, the brain is Bud. The brain scans the brother that it thought was Betty and only found 50% of Hank's DNA in the brother. Also vault 31 is filled with high ranking Vault Tec Executives in cryo chambers, not test tube babies. : )
Since I'm only at part three with the series (I just downloaded the complete series), I'm not gonna watch this recap. But one thing I have to say about the series: The world looks so much similar to the video game... it's awesome. Actors are playing very well. Ella Purnell is such a sweet girl, playing a great roll and also Walton Goggins is doing a great performance.... I played the video game in VR and that's the only thing I sometimes was missing last night when I was watching it through my headset...
@@ItHamBoi if you haven't played Fallout, let me tell short info about Ghouls. Becoming a Ghoul is that got hit by Nuclear Atom Fallout. They either became Feral (like zombie) or their conscious still intact, such as like Cooper the Ghoul and the Vault-Tec Salesman from Fallout 4 Also. I have theory that Moldaver was in Cryo-stasis, but not Cooper because he got hit by nuclear fallout. Another thing, becoming a Ghoul, isn't always become Immortal or never die. It can be killed. I recommend playing Fallout games
I actually thought this was a SUPERB show. I do not play video games (much). Never played FallOut. But Cooper’s character is just plain LIKABLE. When he saves the dog early in the series… we realize that even though he looks like a death skeleton…. he may just actually be “good” deep down. Forced into a horrible place and situation…. The storyline about a company becoming more powerful than the gov’t and then making a war happen just to “get paid”…. Well this sh-t is just terrifying and needs to be viewed as a “warning” for the real world.
@@iphone_4s681 I always thought its dumb that a fusion core just manages to give such a short amount of usetime. I think they should be almost be indefinetly usable for something small like a Power Armor. But yes, the helmet part, the proportions and all that. As i said, CGI is better sorry. Practical isnt a thing anymore imho.
@@iphone_4s681I disagree with the infinite fusion core. The limited fusion core seen in the game is called game design. Players are always under powered in video games as to not make them overpowered.
it looks dope tho. people say that the power armour looks strange but i think it is meant to look like that. the are desrcibed as walking tanks so it makes sense they look bulky
this script is the funniest AI take iv'e heard lately xD i mean it's accurate but worded hilariously and points out some absurd stuff, "lucy lights another fire at night, despite wilzig's advice"- nothing in that scene actually happens because she lit a fire, but it's funny how the AI pointed it out when i never even noticed
I never knew such a show exist, I also am currently playing the fallout shelter game and I already finished the quest that relates to this and the rewards are the main characters themselves hahahaha
To be honest this is the best video game base movie/tv I seen. So can’t wait for season 2 just hope wend they make a game into a movie they look at this tv show
Wait. So, is Hank, Lucy's father, a ghoul? How could he have possibly been alive prior to the initial bomb drop and still be alive? He would have to have been some kind of irradiated creature that doesn't die of old age. What is going on here?
Vault tec started the war and used all their tech to wipe out humanity to repopulate it themselves. Vault 31 had cryo pods like in fallout 4 and used clones and selective breeding to save all the executives and tech to control the earth. The cold fusion inventor most likely survived 200 years because of 3rd party faction assistance. A hidden factions is prob only hinted in the games. Like Mr. House, the catholic church or the way, secret government officials opposed to the enclave, or spies within the enclave, the institute, or perhaps various companies. Or a combo of the above. it makes for a good plot points for season 2. As major lore was exposed in season 1. but there are tons of questions left unanswered. Aliens, supernatural horrors, and the like.
