Boldly can you also do this with African Black soap!! And not like shea butter’s fake version. Some of these small businesses have the real authentic ones.
@@hannahsch3796 Well idk. I messed up the metal on a jar that contains I put a product I made. It has bentonite clay. The color and feel changed. It's more so to do with the effectiveness of the clay because it absorbs metal.
Senpais favorite I completely agree!! I completely stopped wearing foundation this entire week and I don't have any active acne anymore. Had to wear makeup yesterday just to cover some scars up and throughout the day some popped up. And my foundation is made specifically for acne!
Her sores just healed. Topical treatments don't work that well for cystic acne because it's under the skin and it rarely surfaces ( under the epidermis and in the dermis with the blood and nerves and stuff which is why it's a painful form of acne). Topical treatments can help prevent cystic acne by killing bacteria on the surface before it gets in but it doesn't treat the acne itself. And chances are if she has cystic acne naturally, whether she wears makeup or not, she'll still get it no matter how clean her face is.
Senpais favorite everyone's skin is different and for alot of people who have cystic acne, makeup isn't a factor because it's genetic and some people have acne but don't have sensitive skin so not wearing makeup wouldn't change anything. her acne isn't gone, the active breakouts just closed up and it evened her skin tone a bit which made it look like there was less acne as well. masks are a temporary fix but I'm sure she understands that as she's seeing a dermatologist and more than likely on medication or using a topical treatment already.
Senpais favorite you're so wrong, I'm an esthetician in training right now and not all liquid foundations clog pores. Look at the ingredients list and determine if they are non/semi/or full comedogenic
Anne Ho Its like the best thing you can do to get rid of pimples. When I feel a pimple at night i put tea tree oil on it and its gone the next day (it drys the pimples out, i guess ...so make sure to use lotion )
Emily Bachmann Acne-prone means that it's really easy to get acne for him and his skin is probably clear because he experimented with products that worked well for him just because you have acne-prone skin it doesn't mean that your skin can't be clear.(:
People with oily skin, don't be afraid of lotion, toner and lotion will help your oily skin more than anything else. I've had super oily combo skin forever and I was afraid to use lotion, but you need to use it.
Glass Heart So, the toner helps with the oil, but it takes the oil off your face, so you need to replace it with moisture, that’s why you put lotion on. And if you use the right kind of moisturizer, for oily skin, then no it will not make your face more oily.
YES preach it girl! I have had problems with EXTREMELY oily skin and i finally started moisturizing day and night, and i have seen such a difference! I no longer have to blot my face every hour! Feed your skin boys and girls, it needs it! :)
Yes! I have really oily skin and oil based cleansing has done WONDERS for my skin. It just takes time and a lot of trial and error to find the right one for your skin. You're doing your skin worse if you're avoiding oils and lotions. I've been moisturizing with a mix of facials oils for about 3 years now
@@starprincessjolie metal spoons and bowls will react with the clay making it less effective. It's something to do with its molecular/electrical structure. I'm not expert in it though, that's just what google said 😂
@@abiireland3558 through my experience, I used to have this really bad acne prone. But since I tried this mask, it didnt actually took that long to clear my skin, I mean it depends on the skin. It took few months to clear my skin, depends on how often you use it. I use it 1 time per week, you can use it everyday if it didnt makes your skin feel really dry but only put it on the spot. So that's basically it
jenna zabaneh not really. It does wonders when it comes to acne prone skin. I clears up and blemishes but when it comes to any dark spots I’d say no. Buuuuut you can use witch hazel to clear up dark spots, that does the job. Or use Palmers cocoa butter formula. That usually clears up my dark spots that i get.
The blonde girl is the only one i was really interested in the results of... I agree they should have gotten more people with problem skin, but the other people did show benefits to their skin.. Just would have loved to have seen the results on more people with acne, large pores, blackheads etc
All of them BESIDES THE BLONDE MAN had big visible acne. I get what you’re saying but that only applies to the guy that said he has “acne prone skin” but had no acne at all. He made me mad.
Been using for years and to anyone interested in trying this: Please dont use metal with this! Plastic or wood. Its actually written on the container 😊
SoAh Park Yes its safe, but keep in mind the redness that occurs after this mask. Im bright red for 30 min afterwords 😆 It works wonders for my skin n the feeling is so good 👌🏼
Potato ·_· it’s a self confidence thing, acne shattered my self esteem as well as so many others. For AGES I couldn’t go out without makeup because I was so insecure. I still struggle to leave the house if I don’t have makeup but I’m getting there.
I heard you aren’t supposed to use anything metal with this stuff because it will deactivate it, could be why it didn’t work on that one guy because he applied it with a metal spoon...
nobody should be using a clay mask everyday, that can dry anyone's skin out. 1-2 times a week is enough. i was cringing so hard when that girl said she felt the need to put on moisturizer after the mask. everyone, no matter your skin type should be moisturizing everyday, especially after using a clay mask!
0ElectricBlue most of them didn't use it daily and the only reason they used it more then usual is for the purposes of the video. also the woman who said she felt like she needed to put moisturizer on after the mask wasn't saying she never used moisturizer lol more than likely she had already done her skincare routine and after the mask felt like she needed to put on moisturizer again which I'm sure isn't usually her routine. many people including myself use masks as a last step/add on after our skincare regimen & I wouldn't usually moisturize after a mask unless I'm using an essential oil or something.
cherry c. After a mask like this you should use a toner, serum, and moisturizer. Unless you are doing a hydrating mask or an overnight mask. I went to Clarins school and worked with many beauty companies and that is standard skincare. And yes it did seem like they did this every day and for the video they could've done it over a month it's been done before.
i agree! i'd never do a mask after moistuizer especially if it is one that you have to wash it off, you're basically washing off anything that you put on before.
I had severe hormonal acne all over my cheeks, forehead, upper lip and chin. I was basically accutane ready. But i tried this for 4 days before my graduation (I wanted clear skin for at least graduation). Guys, let me tell you... IT WAS MAGIC!!! My skin was so clear I was about to cry. BUT I only did that once, and now i only use it 1-2 times a week. What also helps immensely is if you steam your face before applying to open up your pores :)
Annabella Espinoza what was ur skin like after 1 day? It’s arriving in the post in 2 days for me and I’ll have 2 weeks to get rid of my acne before school starts again so I would love to know how quick the results are xx
@@heartshapedfox. use apple vinegar it the best option, BUT if your face is very very sensitive use water. Don't use any metal things while you applying it to you're face because it will deactivate the chemicals.
Already use this mask and its really powerful. It feels like its pulling your face together. And you're not supposed to use metal to mix it. It'll react with the clay and may weaken the stuff that makes it really work. Use it once a week also. When you're not using it, after you wash your face use a cotton pad to apply the apple cider vinegar to your face
This is definitely not supposed to be used every day. Maybe like once or twice a week. It's supposed to be a deep cleaning mask which could be harsh on the skin if used every day. The results on everyone's skin was clearly noticeable and the blonde girl looked so much happier, her skin was even glowing!
Josh Smith And that’s perfectly fine! Everyone’s skin is different. It’s just this clay mask is not supposed to be used every day-I’m a huge skincare head and it’s just from research that I know it’s not gentle enough for every day use. However, if it worked for you and others and your skincare regimen was on point, then I’m happy it helped you in your skincare journey!
I've never had to deal with severe acne, thank goodness. However, I have had to deal with enlarged pores and occasional hormonal, painful pimples and this mask saved my life. Since I used it a while back, I haven't experienced those breakouts and I bought this clay like..two years ago. It is very powerful and really pulls the essential oils out of one's face, that's why it's limited to one or two uses a week.
I have pretty clear skin. Haven’t had acne since high school but once in the blue I’ll get a break out mainly due to my menstrual cycle. But I try to use this mask once a week and it is amazing. I’ve been using this for about a year. I would recommend this for anyone regardless of their skin type. I have combination skin. My t zone can get oily sometimes but my skin is clear 85-90% of the time. This mask minimizes pores like no other. There is nothing else on the market like it.
Are you going to try it to treat cystic acne? It will help with regular acne and it will help heal your sores but it's not going to do anything to get rid of your cysts. There's ways to treat cysts and nodules but this isn't one.
Coraline Woods I know this comment is old but it makes no sense. That is how skin care works! If you stopped taking care of skin, oil builds up and then you break out again. Please don't give misinformation.
Alexis DelPrete it says right on the tub that you should use it once a week. This is a very harsh mask especially using apple cider vinegar. I'm sure if you used water than you could use it more often than once a week but the apple cider vinegar seems to work better. But even after one use you'll see a big change
Yeah, I agree. I have used it at most 2x a week but only because i wanted the acne to go down faster. It worked fine with me because my skin is really oily but for dry skin definitely stick to the directions.
cj max it really irks me when people do reviews on youtube but they don’t do any research beforehand. The order not to use metal utensils is practically everywhere on the internet. Like???!!
I hate how they all were complaining that it didnt do anything. Well it's not magic that it would make your skin crystal clear in 5 DAYS. You need to use it for longer in order see a significant change bro.
Whatever you guys do, if you have sensitive skin, DO NOT use apple cider vinegar especially the unfiltered, raw version. It will absolutely destroy your face, it will cause skin irritations, acne, and even a face burn. If you intend to keep using the healing clay, just use water and maybe include your favorite face oil. Speaking from personal experience, it took forever to get my skin back to normal.
Personally I have very sensitive skin and I've being using the mask with apple cider vinegar for maybe about 4 and a half weeks and it's been okay for me the worst I've had is a tiny bit of dryness around the mouth area
They barely have acne though... but I can attest to this mask. I used this and it got rid of my hyper pigmentation and the little bumps on my forehead. My redness was reduced. It’s a really good mask. Edit: Another good tip for spot treatment is tea tree oil! Don’t apply it all over your face or your face will burn. I also apply a few drops to my witch hazel toner.
Cindy Gonzalez yes it worked for me. I have hyper pigmentation around on chin and mouth area and now I no longer have it anymore. It really helps with acne
Don't mix with metal either! use plastic or bamboo, it is because the clay absorbs metal, and it makes the clay less effective. Therefor the metal spoon/bowl/spatula will react with the clay reducing most of its healing properties.
Also, she said she had a dermatologist....either her doctor is a bad dermatologist or she doesn't follow the doctor's instructions because she had a lot of acne.
Helena Sullivan Sometimes people have it no matter what (well I don’t want to say no matter what, but it’s really hard to get rid of, you know what I mean). Also it takes a while and they may have to try out different things, especially if the acne is more severe. Like any condition you know.
This mask is know in my family for decades, I remember from being 5 when my aunt used this for a acne 😀 (she was still in puberty). Now she's over 30... I'll call it a grandma-medication
Depends on ur skin and the type of mask. Honestly for this one, u can use it everyday for 1 week but only keeping it on ur face for 5-10 minutes (dont let it dry a lot) Then on the second week, use it 3 times, then the nxt, only 2 times and keep that frequency per week
yall im really into skincare and i've done my research so let me help yall out a lil: if you want a more effective and a more sensitive alternative (i think it's cheaper too) check out *herbomineral* (from healthandyoga, i think) on amazon, it's similar to this and straight from india too..and trust me it has changed my life! for me, i tried the one in the video and the one i just recommended and trust me herbomineral worked sooo much better, plus it was gentler on my sensitive skin.. go get your radiant skin babes, thank me later x
I got this on this on Amazon like 6 months ago & I’ve been using It every two weeks or so but it makes your skin glow !! It clears up all your acne & it just so good for your skin I love it
I use instead of a cleanser on clean skin and i would only use your toner if its moisturising (not like an oily skin one) and 100% you need moisturiser after this lol
So here's some help! Use apple cider vinegar, put it on semi thick. It's easy to mix in a zip lock bag and cut the tip off like cake icing. DO NOT LET IT DRY! When it drys and cracks that is what it's doing to your skin. When you start to feel it tighten use a spray bottle with water or just dab some water on your face. Leave for 30 min. Then rub it off with warm water, then cold, then lotion. And done! Works wonders!
matthewnour97 THANK YOU for that tip to stop it from drying! I couldn't use the clay as much as I wanted to because the drying feeling would almost have me crying, I'll defiantly will be doing this from now on.
Your skin is expected to be more flushed after using those types of clay masks because it brings all the blood flow towards the surface of your face which that’s how it helps with acne (white blood cells are what dilute the puss/dirt in your pores).
this is by far the first video of skin care that i actually believe. there were many subjects and all had different results unlike other products where they all have same results. im actually thinking of purchasing it just to give it a try. thanks!
To be honest I've been doing this mask for over a year on and off and is just something everyone should be doing. You will feel fresh after doing it but make sure you use it with apple cider vinegar no water.
Emery DiNatale Anything but metal. Plastic is ideal, you can get inexpensive facial kits on Amazon for like 6 dollars that will work. If you use a brush to apply the mask try one that doesn't have a metal base for the bristles or just be careful not to make contact with the mixture. What they did in this video is not recommended.
people need to understand you’re supposed to use a face mask once or twice a week not 5 times a week. Edit: thank you for the likes and subscribe to me !
i’m 13, i’ve has acne for about 4 years and as soon as i started breaking out my mom told me to use this, she had been using it for years and it saved her skin. i use it 3 to 4 times a week and what I do is I take a little bit of the powder and mix it with equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar and then I had a few drops of tea tree oil. You can thank me later ;)
I always say OMG I have so many pimples meaning like four! I feel bad for others with bad acne not saying anything bad but i can just imagine the pain cuz to me one pimple hurts so much. I wouldnt call mine acne cuz its only a few pimples but still wanna try for clearer and glowy skin!
this actually worked amazing for the girl with cystic acne. her skin looked so much better im so happy for her. i have really bad acne too from time to time to i know how it feels. i wanna try this !!
I’ve been using the Aztec mask for a couple of weeks now and I can Say i really like the results! It’s gets really tight and burns slightly and gets mildly red however it’s worth it. Pores are tighter and skin is improving. I only use it twice a week since it’s a little drying. Using a moisturizer afterwards is ideal.
I have been using this mask for the past two ish years and I have combination, sensitive and acne prone skin and it works amazingly! I can only use it once or twice a week though, because it can cause my skin to get a bit dry especially in the winter. I love this mask and would really recommend it!
is it bad to use it everyday ? Because I have several acne scars and they've been there for months now. It's slowly fading away but i want them to disappear completely.
this mask has freaking saved my skin. run - don't walk - and get this. if it's too drying, you can add a little honey and rosewater to it. best mask EVER.
My field of work is esthetics and this mask does not just work for Acne it lightens and tightens extremely well...I love this and the clients are amazed...🇹🇹
Alex Creed SAME my cheeks are so full of acne and it’s cuz hormones and genetics my derm said so it’s so hard to control and it’s so hard cuz all my friends have clear skin ughhh
I can already see it’s not going to work because in the first second of the video they’re mixing with a METAL spoon. The metal immediately just diminishes all energies you’re supposed to use a wooden or plastic spoon!!!
3:57 Girl!! Be thankful for the product..yours was the only face that had proper acne n this clay cleared it up!! BIG TIME !! Goodness gracious 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
try detoxing your body. cut out dairy, carbonated water, fried greasy food and sugar. drink at least 64 oz of water a day. also, you can take a zinc supplement with a full meal. If you dont, you will get nauseated and vomit. change your pillow case everyday.
I’ve been using this for about a year now and just recently I put it on too thick and left it on for too long (it says 30 minutes but I left it on for around 2 hours) and it broke my blood vessels on my cheeks and around my nose. It’s also very drying so give your skin time to recover between uses. It’s not smart to use it back to back days. Your skin will be red after use but that’s normal. Use a good moisturizer after you take it off. When you rinse, be careful not to let big chunks drain in the sink because it will clog. This was a problem for me at first but now I take it off with a dark washcloth. A white washcloth will stain. Hope this helped! It’s a great mask and it works well for cystic acne and especially well for drying out small pimples. Don’t use this where you don’t need to use it. For example, it’s quite painful around your cheeks the first time you use it so if you don’t have acne there, don’t bother. ALSO DONT USE METAL UTENSILS WHEN MIXING. Use plastic!
Although I undertsand where you're coming from, acne doesn't have to be on certain level. Some may have a lot of spots and irritated skin and some may have a few spots and less irritated skin. Regardless they are both trying to either get rid off or minimise their spots. Therefore this video is useful to both people with both types of acne.
As someone who's prone to cystic acne herself, I've noticed a change in my skin when I use it twice a week. Diet can be a big factor in the completion of ones skin, I've found cutting out processed foods and drastically reducing my sugar intake has had positive effects to my skin, but using the clay had helped the clogged pores and cystic acne that I still experience.
I use this mask a lot and let me tell you it is VERY DRYING. If you have dry skin I do not recommend using this more than once a week & hydrate your skin afterwards with a thick face cream. It works wonders but will overall start to dry out your skin it's pulling everything out of your pores. Over dry skin can actually cause more breakouts because your pores are being clogged with dead skin cells. They should put a disclaimer on this video about different skin types not everything will work the same on you.
Thank you for writing this comment! I was so disappointed when they didn’t mention or try it out on dry skin even though they claimed they tried it on “all skin types” you just saved me a lot of of time and money on this product.
saraanneaz hey girl, I have super dry skin too. Mine is also acne prone 😐 (a very frustrating combination) and bentonite clay is a bit too strong for me, I use it for a deep clean like every 1-2 months for maintenance purposes. But there are other clays out there that are FANTASTIC for dry skin. Morrocan red clay, French green clay, French pink clay, and kaolin clay (and they can be found inexpensively on Amazon or at vitamin shoppe), are the ones I've tried with tremendous success. They actively cleanse the skin, but they aren't as harsh as bentonite clay. Also, the liquid you use to mix makes a major difference. I swap between rosewater, green tea (freshly brewed), and Apple cider vinegar. I also add a couple drops of oil my mix (usually jojoba or olive, but honestly any good skin oil would do probably). Sorry for the super long comment. Just wanted to let all my dry skin beauties know! 😁 Hope this helps somebody out.
Jacey Kennedy you can still try it girl, it's more about what you mix it with. Green tea or rosewater would make it less harsh, but still give the same great benefits (see my other comment above this for a list of clays more suited to dry skin if you're not sold on bentonite clay, but still interested in a natural deep clean) Hope this helps you
Mary Korten you're not supposed to use metal to mix this mask together... something to do with weakening the "power" of the mask due to some sort of reaction
Mary Korten It affects the charge of the clay, also the clay is differently charged than the metal so it draws the metal particles on to the clay. You dont want to be putting that stuff on your face...
