Dominic Ciccarelli it's because cockroaches crawl up into the machines and fry the motherboard and keeps it from. functioning properly. My mom used to work for a major ice-cream machine manufacturer and they literally have a training room dedicated to how to repair this problem specifically.

A regular mint chocolate chip milkshake is way better. Just go have one of those instead. There's something very artificial and over processed about a shamrock shake.

You can make a similar Starbucks version: For a Grande: -made with Heavy Cream -1 scoop of matcha (just for green color, will be a paler green) -3 pumps peppermint -1 or 2 scoops of vanilla bean P.S. Not all McDonald's properly clean their McCafe machines, so you'd be taking your chances!

@@rachelwoudy7530 2yrs late here but I order a small shamrock shake and a medium vanilla and mix the two lol. Shamrock shake alone is overpoweringly artificial but when it's mostly vanilla with a hint of it, its dreamy!

Interesting fact: the shamrock is Ireland's (more accurately Northern Ireland's) national flower. Even more interesting is the fact that the McDonald family is originally a Scottish family who had almost all of its members executed for treason. So a Scottish named fast food joint is selling Irish inspired drinks in the USA.
