Appears much safer than pit maneuvers for both the citizens and law enforcement. Leonard Stock and his wife have a winner for sure. Love seeing American Ingenuity. it only can work if the police vehicle is right on the suspects bumper long enough to engage it and in alot of chases that may not happen for a long time if at all . also the police vehicle would have to drive at high speeds in many cases and this big bulky grapler thing in front of the vehicle may not be practical for high speed chases .
Good for you, sir. This is exactly what we need from society. It’s not entertainment, these are lives on the line. I’m so glad to see someone else trying to make real change in the world. The work I do is individual based, but I still try. But this, wow, this is going to help potential millions avoid the harm of fleeing suspects. Amazing work.
Really awesome invention. The longer a chase continues, the more likely a violent outcome; usually hitting other innocent cars or a pedestrian. Pit maneuver is a half measure that rarely stops the vehicle from continuing to flee. This grappler ENDS the chase.
What i like about this is that is not destructive. If I'm a car owner that gets their car stolen in gonna be pissed if the cops destroy my car getting it back. The cops just care about getting their suspect. This is a win for everyone

Probably inspired by The Terrible Trio Batman: The Animated Series: Season 4 Episode 1, in which batman is chasing after some perps, and he shoots a harpoon in an attempt to stop the car. It's a similar concept.
I appreciate this device and I hope controls are used so it is only able to be purchased by police and other like organizations. I would hate the idea of it being sold to anyone.
Most cars that are "grappled" make a sharp left turn into a wall or into oncoming traffic. What happens if they grapple the car and the suspect car moves into oncoming traffic? This thing wasn't really all "worked out" before it is being used. Every video I see of a car being "grappled" the grappled car turns left into what would be oncoming lanes, a wall, something etc.
1) Safer than a PIT. 2) The perp shouldn't be running from the cops in the first place. 3) It's up to to cops to pick a spot that doesn't endanger innocent people, if possible.4) FAFO.
Absolutely nothing can go wrong with locking 1 wheel on a car at speed 😂😂😂 funny how the clip on the highway cuts off just as the cars about go smashing into the barrier after it was grappled and sent flying to the left
I think this is great. Pit maneuvers can be dangerous and destructive. This this literally let's you say "my bad" if you made a mistake and no damage to car or it's occupant.
Too bad it violates the constitution for an officer to use it on a citizen. It's an illegal act of seizure. Any officers caught using this device should have their badges revoked. Any stop made with it can be thrown out in court 👍 But, sure... great device 😂
