Hi Nathan. I grew up in Peoria. Went To Richwood's. Class of 83. U of I class of 87'. Lived in Chicago from 87-97. Moved to North Carolina when I currently live. Your channel gets me a lil nostalgic about my childhood. Peoria is so different now. Like a ghost town but glad I was raised there. Blessings!!
@Nice One I heard they were doing one, but I don’t remember what it was called. Something about Germans. I know “The Mule” mentions Peoria at the beginning of the film. And the extended version of “Little Shop of Horrors” mentions Peoria. I think there was another movie I watched once that mentions Peoria. But I don’t think there’s ever been even a single scene of any movie that was actually filmed on location in Peoria. Peoria was huge for being a place of making liquor and brewing beer. And when Prohibition happened there were bootleggers and people getting caught. So there’s definitely some stories that could be told, like a historical mafia type film that maybe involves Chicago or St. Louis too. So many things could be done. Teach people about the history of their town. Maybe show KKK activity in Pekin. Something historical and true. Tell a story in history. Or even if it was fiction. Like a superhero movie or romance. It would just be cool to see something.
@Nice One The bridge, the tower in north Peoria, the Riverfront with the steamboat (if it’s still there). Just whatever is iconic to Peoria. I guess there’s not a whole lot.
Beautiful fireworks. Nathan can you recommend a video that talks about how the pharisees and scribes came to take over the sons of Aaron and the priesthood? I think this happened in the last half century BC. Has David bercot talked on this? Thanks
At exactly 8:15 in the bottom left you can see some low flying fireworks that hit my girlfriend and I last night. Never been that close to fireworks before lol. The barge kept moving and came way to close to the bank.
