My family are Mexican and we grow at least 8 tomatillo plants for salsa and we freeze the rest.

How do you do it? Just wash them and freeze them whole? Thanks.
@ramz1455

@@ChristasGarden basically yes, pat them dry if you can before you freeze them. No problem :)

When you added the peat moss did you add lime

No. My soil is in the neutral zone, so a bit of acidity won't hurt.

I am sorry, just now seeing this comment. I bought the Big Bertha Peppers as plant starts. Most of the others were seeds that I started and are from superseeds.com, maybe some other sources as well, I can't remember. Superseeds.com aka Pinetree Gardens is one of my favorite places to order from.

I grew both the Jimmy Nardello and the Corbaci peppers this year. I did not get a single Jimmy Nardello, but the Corbaci peppers were very prolific and I loved the flavor. I will grow them again next year and will try the Jimmy Nardello next year, too.

Great video! I'm growing Jimmy Nardello peppers for the first time this year. Some are getting pretty big but don't appear to be changing to red. Do they take a long time to ripen? Thanks.
@ChristasGarden

In my garden, they are usually one of the first to start ripening up. Hopefully yours will soon, they are way better red.

Hello! Where did you get your seeds?
@ChristasGarden
@ChristasGarden 4 года назад
Which seeds are you interested in? I bought the Big Bertha and the Serrano plants at a local hardware store. Jimmy Nardello seeds came from Botanical Interests, Corbaci and Flavor Burst seeds were from Pinetree Gardens. I think the Banana Peppers were from a cheap pack of seeds from the dollar store.

I’m in SE Ohio and I tried tomatillos in pots, I had two together and they were growing fine and flowering but would never set fruit. Obviously there isn’t time to turn it around much, but any ideas what I was missing?
@ramz1455

Could be that they didn't cross pollinate.
