These bake at 400 deg F for 30 mins.
Makes 10.
3 cups All purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups water to knead
8 tbsp unsalted butter
-----------
3 medium sized potatoes boiled in salted water
1 small carrot finely grated
1 cup pepper Jack cheese
1 hot pepper finely chopped
2 pimento peppers finely minced
Salt to taste
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tbsp bandania finely chopped
1 tbsp garlic finely minced
1 tbsp golden ray

Hi Natasha, thanks for another great recipe. Was your butter frozen? Can I use a potato peeler to shred the butter instead of pressing it out?

Store bought puff pastry works fine and less work, also stay away from that cholesterol filled Golden Ray margarine

Hi natasha you don't mention the temperature and time of baking...this is a great idea puff pastry dough stuffed with potatoes...

I absolutely love a flaky pastry 🥮❤️ it’s difficult to find them so flaky in most bakeries 🙁 but thanks to you Natasha, I’ll be trying to make those perfect pastries by myself, too my flaky liking 😋😋😋

My top layer of the roti came out a bit hard and burnt. Did you paste anything over before putting them in the oven?

No I didn't. Maybe your oven temp.is off.

@@TriniCookingwithNatasha I just peeled off the top layer. It still tastes fantastic. Next time, I'll lower the temp, maybe to 375. Thank you.

Hey Natasha, if I freeze the dough for another time like half perhaps to use for different fillings...do I have to defrost before time before rolling out?

I didnt freeze just refrigerate for 15 mins or until the oven was ready

That’s a very versatile pastry dough that can be used for different types of filling. Will have to try this and see what else I can come up with 😀. Natasha, I am trying to reduce my carbs as part of my healthier lifestyle and you’re not helping 🤭🤦‍♀️.
