I’m pretty stoked that Pepsi Blue is back. I drank it all the time back then and remembered exactly what it tasted like, and even smelled like. The new packaging sucks compared to the old one, but the smell and taste is identical to the original, which is fantastic.
Whenever I see a blue drink, I am immediately reminded of the Clone High episode with the pancake batter dyed blue being sold as some kind of energy beverage and I think that's just gonna be how my life is
But, like, it's just Pepsi... but clear. Wouldn't it be better to for them to actually create a comparably ridiculous product that none of us have ever seen before?
4:00 products are never as good as what you remember them to be. Except for Crystal Pepsi! That needs to be the only "Pepsi" made for the Summer. Crystal Pepsi Zero Sugar would be a dream come true!
I was a big Pepsi blue fan still am but the design this time around failed because I almost didnt recognize it next to regular Pepsi in the store because the design doesnt stand out from regular Pepsi like it did back in early 2000's.
Pepsi Mango is best flavor Pepsi has put out in years! Still no Blue in my area. Looks to be a Summer/4th of July drink though, so I feel there's still time!
Something interesting about the Pepsi mango, I took a few sips to try it, and it sat at room temperature for almost 24 hours, and I took another drink of it and it held it's carbonation almost as if it was just opened. Not sure exactly what they did, or if that was a fluke thing, but thought it was interesting. Any other cola is flat after 12 hours after opening at room temp.
Since the original didn't have a diet, I don't think a diet Blue will be coming anytime soon. As far as Fruitopia goes, it's one of my favorite drink lines ever, but if they put it in a plastic bottle instead of glass, I'm out!
@@ConsumerTimeCapsule Yeah that's true but I hope Pepsi Blue gets the Mountain Dew Frostbite treatment and gets popular to get a diet. Yeah ever since Snapple won the drink war with Fruitopia they put their drinks in plastic. I miss the glass.
Glad ya liked Pepsi Mango- I tried it a few weeks back and really dug it! I also tried Mtn Dew-S-A (which I know is a re-do) but I hadn’t had it before....pretty tasty. Not a huge soda guy but it’s always fun to try them every now and then. Any chance y’all will ever go back to the two times a week thing like in the old days? Wasn’t it Tues and Fri ?...
Yeah, a while back, before my schedule got especially crazy, we did a regular review on Tuesday and a "Lightning Round" on Friday with eight products. Since then, my travel extended from just Texas to five states, so I'm only around for a week every couple months or so. When we filmed these on Monday night for example, we started at 6PM and ended at 2AM just to bank stuff through mid-June. I definitely need to figure out a way to keep the videos coming when I'm on the road, but I don't have a solid idea of how to make that work quite yet.
Haha! That's actually not a bad idea for when I'm reviewing frozen stuff, because it doesn't travel well. Heck, I still haven't even reviewed the Vienetta comeback! That outta be a fun one to eat in a car.
Have you guys tried Starburst Swirlers yet? I tried them the other day, and I can't say I'm a fan, despite that fact that I LOVE Starbursts lol! I think Pepsi Blue came out in my junior year of college, which means I was at just the right age to think I was too hip and sophisticated for such a product... I'll probably try it now that it's been released again!
I tried the Swirlers, but not on film, since they just use existing flavors of Starburst together. I'd prefer to just eat my Starburst one at a time out of a normal package.
I also have the incredibly unpopular opinion that cherry Starburst are terrible and the lemon and orange ones are great, so I'm sure folks would have been upset with me anyway. Haha.
Pepsi Mango isn't new, I drank a lot of it in early 2020, February in particular is when I started trying it. Well, I mean that is still new of course, but I started drinking Pepsi Lime on NOvember 12, 2049. They all came in tall bottles and there was also a berry one. I dunno if they are sold anymore, I haven't been in a story since later February 2020, but it seems like Orange Vanilla Coke has been phased out, sucks so much. I had a dream that I went to get the last Orange Vanilla Coke and you had to buy them with some fruity refresca. I have been wanting to drink Pepsi Blue again since it was disconinued. ONce my grandmotherwent into a convenience store to get the Pepsi Blue I asked for and she came back with regular Pepsi. The guy at the coutner insisted that it was Pepsi Blue, probably because of the blue label. And he wanted to sell something of course. It's an interesting memory for sure.
Trust me, I'd love to, but I'm on the road for several weeks at a time - sometimes months. When we film, it's a marathon. Last night we started at 6PM and went until after 2AM... and that's with one video per week. When we do our relaunch, I'm going to try to figure out a way to get more videos going, but I'll have to be something totally different and shoot it myself from a hotel room or something.
Anything Hilton-based. Usually a DoubleTree or Embassy Suites. Sometimes a regular Hilton or a Homewood Suites, as long as it's newly built or remodeled.
The guy at Circle K said that they're doing a national promotion with Circle K starting Wednesday (today), so that chain might be your best bet, assuming you have one.
