Alberto Martín According to Henle, the publication Perahia works at, the metronome markings added by Robert to the edition that was sent to Liszt. Other editions, which, allegedly, edited by Clara, contain different metronome markings. My favorite example is scene no. 7: 100 BPM (Robert) against 80 BPM (Clara). I saw also other publications which contain other markings, like 84 BPM and others.
That’s not true. Markings were Schumann, and the broken metronome myth and other attributed myths are being completely broken by modern evidence and scholarly debate. Check out the Schumann concert video on RU-vid here by Shelley and visit comment section for more. Its strange as an individual piece.... but within the set it works beautifully
