L/S's and M/S's of the band leader Percival Mackey conducting his jazz band. Good M/S of Mackey smiling as he enthusiastically conducts the band. The members of the band play a variety of instruments including the trumpet, trombone, saxophone, Double Bass and the acoustic guitar. M/S of band member singing 'Millions of Kisses'. Several more shots of the band playing which also includes a solo tap-dance by Monti Ryan.

When I see the joy of these music makers, and the year 1933, I wonder how many of those younger men went to fight in the War. Sad to think of.

Other than for flamboyant show, there is no need for a conductor, if the band is trained properly.
