I wish that they renew the show soon, or better yet announce all five seasons already. Then film two seasons back to back so that the actors ages is still close to their characters.

I feel like when Luke mentioned that the campers were choosing sides would’ve been the perfect time for the “Because you’re my friend seaweed brain. Anymore stupid questions?” Maybe could’ve went something like: *Luke mentions that the campers are choosing sides* Percy: Wait so who’s side would you be on? Annabeth: Zeus. Percy: *shocked* Annabeth: *thinking this kid can not be so fr rn* Obviously yours. So Poseidon. Percy: But why? Annabeth *smh I can’t rn* Because you’re my friend seaweed brain! Anymore stupid questions? Also Percy getting distracted by annabeth while driving *internally screams*

A lot of the changes seem to be made due to losing Percy's internal thoughts which take up a large portion of explaining why the trio acts a certain way. Like back with Medusa, it's tense in the book because you're in his headspace as he's figuring stuff out. Bringing that visually and taking that away would make the kids look too naive and not be a good first impression for the faces of the franchise: "Gee, this woman with her face covered and stone statue surely couldn't be anyone" Then this episode, them knowing beforehand shows what the stakes are, and I just went back to the book to see what exactly happens with the casino if you take out Percy's thoughts: The trio follows a stranger's suggestion to come in , they have fun, Percy realizes something's up, gets Annabeth and Grover, they leave and see it's been 5 days The pearls change also makes sense to me. In the book, Percy had just been told by Ares that his mother is still alive (which if I remember correctly he only assumed as a possibility to possibly get her back and it's not really stated if anyone else knows). With the show, since his mother being alive is known from the beginnng, Poseidon giving him only three would seem very cruel when he's trying to get in Percy's favor: "Ha, now you have to choose between one of you or your mother. Good Luck!" Most likely he's going to somehow lose one of them, so the choice still happens.

I think the reason so many (book fans) were disappointed with this episode were because it will probably the least likely to leave an impression on viewers whereas we remember the chapter in the book so vividly. Though the taxi cab scene is something i know will live rent-free in my brain for a while. Comedy gold!😂😂😂😂

The solstice passing was a lovely surprise for book readers. Honestly it felt so unrealistic in the book for them to make it on time. Aaaaand, outside of that…..how would the DiAngelos have not aged over 70-ish years unless time WAS moving as slowly as it did in the hotel? The character of Percy being developed as impertinent and willfull was perfection. The four pearls make sense for Percy getting closer to his father through this journey. When the book came out, everyone was angry at Poseidon for not providing a way out for Percy’s mom. Since the show has done a good job showing how the gods have failed spectacularly, they don’t need to add to that. A pearl can still be lost in the Underworld. Anything can happen in the next episode to make the ending interesting for us who already knew what was coming. The mattress store was one of the most memorable scenes to me from the first book, surprisingly. 😂 Totally unimportant, but interesting.

I´m sad they cut the scene where Percy spoke to the Zebra and realized he can talk to horses and horse-like beings. But I loooove the episode and I am intrigued how it´s going to play out that it´s past solstice

Luke calling Percy and Annabeth an old married couple was interesting. I don't know if this came twice or something but I heard Nico calling Bianca when Grover was talking to Augustus at like 12:30 or so. I loved your thoughts and I'm super excited for the next episode ❤

Honestly, I think them getting the four pearls is better, solely if they *lose a pearl*. If they dont lose a pearl, then oh well, but if they do, like you said, it will completely crush percys little heart, and extinguish the eternal flame roaring with in him forever! And, it also goes to show that poseidon does care about Percys feelings, or at least the sea spirit does, and that they know, or poseidon knows, that theres little things he can do to help Percy, so the best thing is going to be helping him bring back his mother! Idk though. Anyway, great reaction as always keep it up!! ❤❤

especially after the recent interview with daphne olive i have immense faith in the writers, they know what they're doing. Every change really has been deeply thought out and for the better.

I think one of the pearls might be lost because they go into crusty's waterbed thing... Like he may take one or something or like he may keep one but then percy tricks him and he dies but somehow takes the pearl with him. That's what makes it an important sequence

The actor for tiny percy just dropped an instagram post warning us that we should ‘keep our therapist on speed dial’ talking about the flashback which will be discussed next episode….should we be getting mentally ready? Someone was saying that it could be a scene when percy is getting expelled, but someone was suggesting percy was waiting in the car while sally and gabe was getting married Also, the number of all too well jokes ive seen with the percy driving scene 😂”you ran over the red cause you were looking over at me” Special shoutout to annabeth hanging over a cliff 😭 too soon, rick, too soon (fr tho where is she? Im so annoyed by how they keep splitting up, it makes it harder to think of them as percy + annabeth + grover but more like percabeth + grover which will make it less nostalgic when we see them together if they ever adapt chalice)

I don’t understand why people hate this episode. The film version of the lotus casino was the most confusing scene in the films. It was set like a nightclub so again it plays to an older audience. I saw film and the only thing that was funny Grover getting a spa treatment but him with all the women was weird because I didn’t know about grover and his age.

I think that annabeth and grover would like let him tell them the stories to quiz him or something... like make sure he knows. Also, the extra pearl could be get the place of that waterland ball to distract cerberus.

For me episode 6 was much weaker than episodes 4 and 5, even though it includes the funniest scene so far (driving the cab). I don’t really understand, why they chose the title „we take a zebra to Vegas“ for this ep, when all scenes with the zebra were cut out. The first time watching I didn’t even see a zebra, the second time i spotted it, but it was so tiny in the background for 1 sec.. As I said, don’t understand that choice. I agree, they should have let Grover say, who he suspects. The German dub of the rainbowcall sounded so technical, but that’s on the dubbing studio i guess. Telling Lukes story about his mother this early didn’t feel right. If they didn’t want to wait until season 5, that’s okay, they could have done it for example in season 3. I thought, they´re planning to do 5 seasons, but than i dont understand, why they put so much information in season 1 already. Now it feels like there isn’t much more new to explore about characters backgrounds in the future seasons. I think it would have worked better, if Annabeth told Percy about the quest Luke got from Hermes in the past. Its the same with getting to meet Hermes and having that conversation. I didn’t need it and it puts Luke to the peoples mind front again..(dont know if that’s correct english). And all that gods, that we get to see already even though the whole point is, that they are being distant to their children idk it is kind of conflicting. And I am sad, that Percy didnt game play with that dude from 1980 or something. That would have highlighted the not aging in the casino aspect. Yeah that’s pretty much it. I hope episode seven has a longer run time, cuz it looks like much is happening next week and i hope its not rushed :D

Honestly this has been my least favorite episode so far I think that some of the changes they made were questionable and it felt kinda flat I’m not saying it was a horrible episode or anything but for me it just isn’t as good as the others it just felt like it was missing something I also don’t love the change for the solstice. But I think the four pearls is actually kinda good because it’s going to hit harder so I’m kinda excited about that. Also I’m so exited for the next episode I’m excited for hades/the underworld but omg I’m so excited for the sally and Poseidon flashback! BUT ALSO THE NICO AND BIANCA ESTAER EGG MADE ME SO HAPPY!!!!!!💙

There's the fact that in the book when Percy realised, they just have 3 pearls, (i believe) Annabeth says that there's always a downside and some immortal being helping out mortal? Yep some downside fr. This is no more accurate in the show now that the nereid gave him 4 pearls~

Okay hold on, this has nothing to do with this video but, did you see the news abt the new Percy Jackson book? It’s called Percy Jackson and the Triple goddess🤭

Tbf, anyone who thinks the movie is a better adaptation either 1. Hasn't read the books or the whole series; or 2. Has no consideration for the fact that the two adaptations work as a reflection of Rick's work as a whole, and only one of those didn't include Rick, the literal autor, as a co-writter/producer and damaged years of work for the author!!!!! so....

I hate to say this...but I really hated this episode. This was the ONE time they actually SHOULD have taken inspo from the movie (I know...I can't believe I'm saying that either). It's one thing to do something different from the books and the movie. That's fine. But you need to keep it at the same level or elevate it (like the movie did). The show literally sucked out all of the energy and the fun and the suspense of this scene in the book and swapped it for a pointless Hermes/Lin Manuel exposition scene that we shouldn't even be getting until season 5.

oh, the next episode is 40 minutes long :) cool, huh? :) honestly, i'm just disappointed right now. i've liked previous episodes more or less, and this one had its moments, but overall i don't like the writing. i don't even mean the changes, the pacing and dialogue is just so off. i still want to see poseidon, but i don't really have high expectations anymore
