But like why, the character in the show was just some asshat, not someone that Sally HAD to marry to protect Percy. In the show Gabe is portrayed as someone she CHOSE to marry, not for Percy. Then Gabe is just an asshole, that’s it. Him turning to stone is the death of a man that’s a bit unsavory. He’s a not violent unhinged criminal, but some asshole that’s just killed.

I agree. I tried to watch it made it to the medusa episode not only because I just didn't have the time but this version of Percy.. and I don't know how to put this any nicer was a winey little bitch every scene. At least in the 2010 version I felt that version of Percy had some confidence. So the man of recaps was the way to go for the rest of it. If he didn't do this breakdown I wouldn't have watched the rest of it.

She tried to become an oracle as a mortal (the mortal part is kinda irrelevant tho because most oracles were humans, such as rachel dare or the oracle of delphi) at camp half-blood and became insane after witnessing luke being possessed by kronos.

She went insane because of the Curse Hades put on the Oracle. Plus the fact that she wasn’t a virgin didn’t help either.

I’m keen to see how they handle it in season 5 since it has the potential to be one of the best storylines in the show

Dosa Zeus even show up in book 2? I only remember that he comes back in book 3 and 5

The movie was the best but judging by this recap i think it explains alot of things for me and i like how they brought hades and medusa to justice unlike other greek myth movies

He was there, they played him as more of a loser here as they didn’t want to make a violent abusive asshole more real to the children (something like that). In the end, he turns to stone from Medusa’s head like in the book but this time, it’s entirely his fault.
