@@jojoukpong4993 He hasn’t even scored a podium since China, which was the last race where Red Bull were comfortably better than the other teams. So when Red Bull have needed him to step up against increased competition, he’s failed to do so
@@NotApplicableJB If Yuki or Daniel went to Redbull and bottas replaced whoever left. Bottas has lots of skill but not the car to go with it. Whereas if Perez were to join Audi, it could be a bit like Sainz to Williams as he could go forward with the team.
Ur info on Lawson is wrong He was well below expectations and was well below the timings expected from him. Daniel Ricciardo was the only driver to Match max Daniel is already contracted to take Sergio Perez after the mexico GP
Weird how the couple of articles I read were pretty positive about Lawson but I’ll hold my hands up and say I misspoke. Still though Lawson drives last season have shown he is capable.
@@NotApplicableJB its cuz all the other cars were absolutely bonkers, this car the cars are absolutely serious, and in the 4 race in which he did performance were the track on which the car was best on and Yuki was having trouble to cope up with the car cuz it didn't match his style, so Lawson doesn't have much, it was the same situation with Nick Debris
i thought that lawsons times at silverstone were underwhelming and that he was 2 tenths of the time red bull set for him in against maxs time, but i could be mistaken 4:47
Lawson was not on current race spec tyres at Silverstone, but he didn’t set the timing sheet alight. Audi would be a good fit alongside The Hulk .. don’t think he’ll get a seat at RBR.
A lot or reports came out that Lawson's times were not that competitive. Also I still don't understand why Checo was given yet another chance. It should be clear by now that he doesn't fit in that 2nd Red Bull car. Red Bull had the chance to switch him with Danny and put Lawson in the Vcarb seat.
Your a 🤡 saying checo is a problem on the track and off the track funny how last year you were complaining about red bull winning too much and there is no level playing field and now your so worried about the constructors for red bull? You want danny ric in that seat because you feel sorry for him and are completely biased you give no good reason. Yuki although extended throughout 2025 its obvious they dont want him past 2026. Liam will take dani place at vcarb with yuki for 2025 keep crying about checo is hilarious 😂
@NotApplicableF1 Thats one way to get a DNF. I said 2, but really, I will be happy with just one. I am gonna be counting on Piastri from next race onwards. :P
The only one really affected is ricciardo. Because his contract ends. Perez is most likely only staying till end of season. Then they'll decide putting tsunoda or Lawson.
Nonsense. All this speculation in the "we hate Checo" echo chamber has been wrong ever since Checo joined the team and is continually is wrong. It's why people are mystified he got an extension and miffed he did not get discharged midseason. The team (other than Marko) want him on because they have legacy and they are not going to burn him at the end of the season and not allow him an opportunity to shop another team; unlike their prior two 2nd drivers who delivered none of the following. He's contributed to Max's first WDC, 2 WCC, and RB's only 1-2 finish; they have history and they (RB) are not going to crap that away. Also, whoever is his manager --GOAT (next to Hulks); his contract is solid going back to last year. Sorry haters but Checo is not going anywhere for 2025. That filming drive is incorrect because Checo was not part of it; I'm speculating that filming is more about Lawson. Do they keep him or take a chance on Hadjar and let Lawson walk. Bye DR.
If Checo keeps performing poorly after RB gives him same backup they've been giving Max all this time lile they say, then Yuki is the one that deserves that seat more than anyone, at this point Marko is just being a racist prick like everyone that can't accept Checo won his seat and has proven that he deserved it in the first place
how much does redbull lose if they lose sponsors by firing checo? any numbers or approximations people know? is it big enough to let mclaren win or give a really close wcc fight?
It’s close granted but putting together best sector times and race telemetry redbull still just edges out McLaren on average. However I agree that it’s basically equal and track dependent at this point.
This is the problem with having a team owned by a money-hungry company like Redbull. Perez has a guaranteed seat for as long as he keeps bringing in the bags of money from his Mexican sponsors/royalties.
I'd still pick an underperforming Perez over other the Redbull options for the 2nd driver and Riccardo is the weakest link that shouldn't have been given the 2nd chance
Here’s what I think will happen: Pérez will get the rest of this season but his contract for 2025-26 will either have Red Bull only keep him for 2025 (if he does well in the second half) if Pérez doesn’t improve in the second half, then Daniel Ricciardo gets his contract for 2025+maybe 2026. Liam Lawson gets the Racing Bulls seat for 2025 alongside Tsunoda.
Fully agree that Liam Lawson deserves a spot on the grid. And I think it would be really interesting if Max moved teams. Similar to when Lewis moved to Mercedes and now Ferrari, it just shakes up the grid and makes things more exciting! Also, not related but I love the cap that you‘re wearing in this video 😂
I found what Horner said interesting. Or rather the way he said it. He said something like: "We hope he performs well on his best tracks," (not the exact quote, can't be bothered to look it up xD). That sounds like the classic deliberate Horner quote, because Perez's best tracks are Singapore and Baku, which are two of the next four races (Netherlands, Italy, Baku and Singapore) and after those there is another 3 week break until the next race. So it wouldn't be difficult for RBR to fire him then. And I'm not basing this on vibes (not totally, at least). Even The Race said the same thing, which, at least to me, justifies this way of thinking.
I'm just so sick of Perez wasting that seat when he's shown he doesn't deserve it and can't challenge Max. Checo has more than had his time and chances and seems mentally broken. He needs to retire immediately in my view since he's just embarrassing himself. Get Perez out, put Ric in the second RBR seat and promote Lawson alongside Yuki already RBR! Reckon its too early to put Liam in the main team under that much pressure. Come on RedBull, GET ON WITH IT!!! Grr..
