Something weird... I had a ROM of the original, which I had on a small flash drive, and when I put the flash drive into a portable DVD player that we had, it would start playing through all of the voice recordings in the game, even though the DVD player only supported MP3s and AAC files for audio.
It looks like it. What's equally weird is that it seems like they still do that weird fist thing where they never move their damn fingers out of a fist. (come on Rare, if you made their fingers & mouths move people wouldn't scream that you're not loyal to the original.)
@DopeteK I may be mistaken on the three times the poly count comment, but Ken Lobb has stated in multiple interviews that the models are all brand new. Try searching for Ken Lobbs interviews from X10. =)
sadly, no. what's even more sad, is that they were working on goldeneye for the xbox 360 (the n64 version, not the remake), and enhance it like perfect dark, but it was later cancelled ;_;
Actually, it only had one part removed, and it was the worst part of the original N64 version, something about swimming with an eel or something. Either way, that part wasn't all that important anyway.
@jasondixon360 Changing the game mechanics of good games to make them better is often the intention of all game designers; suchs as Resistance Fall of Man to Resistance 2 and Super smash brothers mell to brawl, unfortunately you can't recreate near perfection. This is why it's probably a good reason they keep the exact gameplay. People liked it, not something else.
wohoo Rare great service just a new N64 game textures awarded -, -- Sound, polygon count all the same just new textures and bet it again costs so much that it is not justified XD naja give that will never Goldeneye because Nintendo also has drann right XD
This isn't a very good indication of the difference. Playing the XBLA version in full 1080p versus playing the original N64 version on the same HDTV is literally like a generation gap. The N64 version is so damn blurry and jaggy is ridiculous.
Conker fuckin' blows on Xbox. It's too censored and has parts removed from the campaign compared to the original N64 version. That's why people want Conker's Bad Fur Day put on XBLA, 'cause Live And Reloaded blew dick.
