Thanks Skyler. Always appreciate the reviews and lumber sourcing videos. Yes, you can make your own, but many times, something like this is MUCH easier. Not cheap but as they say "buy once, cry once"! !! !!!

Great video Skyler. I loved that you were doing it on the fly. We all learned together. Cool jig👍

I really enjoy watching you use or setup a jig for the first time 'live' with out any previous tryouts. This is the real world and you show it as it is for all to see. Great job!!! Keep up the great work and I will be watching to see what you use this jig for.

Hi Skyler you have become the subject master of the art of elegant box making as well as demostratiion of how to. Easy as 1,2,3 and never hurts to have an Ace card up your sleeve! 🤣 Any projects on XTool's laser in the works, did the latest software release bridge the gap with lightburn's software? I like the saw stop over the dewalt jobsite saw for more table, fence, and smoothness. But like playing guitar its the person not the tools that make it great! Can you use 3rd party dado blades on a Sawstop with that type of blade safty feature? Looked like a diablo blade in your video? I pray you keep your website up for a long long time, as I need to keep reference them and learn watching your video projects Skyler. You make it look easy the sign of a true craftsman. Thanks for sharing please don't stop!

Hello, thank you so much for your kind comment. Yes, you can use 3th party blades with sawstop.I just finish filming a video on the new xtool software. I been playing arout a lot lately as I am starting to make some of my own designs that will be abailable to download on my website. ( just uploaded one today)

Great ❤. I just (finally) purchased a thin stock ripping jig, so I’m anxious to use it for those small strips !

Awesome. I have a few of those thin strips ripping jigs. Bought them about a year ago but they didn’t fit my dewalt contractor saw. I just now I am able to use them

I think I have this tool/jig. I say think because I certainly don't use it! I believe I tried it and found it cumbersome to set up and use. In woodworking, there are many ways to perform a task. Here, one could cut the dado to a specific width with a dado set and then mill the inlay piece to fit that width. It comes down to personal choice. I have Micro-jig's half-lap jig and I do use IT.

Sounds like the tightness is just a function of it being "perfectly the same size."

I think you are right. Now I have to figure out how to make the dados accurate on the length of the piece

:) Thank you. Second language. Every time I heard someone talk about dado, to my ears sounded like dato, so I kept calling it that:) Now looking on the packaging.... it does say dado.

That looks like a pain in the butt to use. Not impressed and there has to be an easier way to do this.
