Just make sure the top layer is loosened. You don’t need amendments or fertilizer for Bermuda when it’s first laid.

If you have Bermuda just add sand. It loves sand.

I dont like halfijn gaps it never come out smooth nice and tight is the best way I'd all mine tight and there were no bumps. When I did the cutting.

Proper ground prep is the key. Gaps can be filled with sand to make it perfectly smooth. We actually used a checkerboard with sand in part of my lawn and it filled in within two months.

Thank you for the useful video. This video is from 10 months ago. Did you place sods in September last year? I wanted to know if placing bermuda sods in September will be ok rather than doing in March/April. I live in Central Texas.

I don’t remember what month we put it down. You can put down Bermuda any time of year as long as you keep it watered well until it is rooted.
