Good first impression review. Especially accurately pointed out the tech pouch of Shadow 22 not being able to buckle up with bulkier gadgets. Good one 👍
i really love the blacn ember product, ( don't have yet ) first; i would like to buy the forge, but, after to see the shadow, i think the shadow will be more durable and more for me :) keep going your great job !
Hi Bo! Love your work as always! Im struggling between the forge and this, aiming for Office + Gym or some weekend trips. I love the organisation and the 3 ways of the forge so much but the weight/bulkiness somehow set me off. By comparing numbers, this could go 26L and the expanded forge is 30! I dont mind losing that 4L and getting the shadow which is more clean, neat and lightweight... Do you reckon when loading thse 2 bags fully, do they really have 4L differences practically? If you have to choose 1 in my case, may I know your decision, cheers! Please send help I could not decide which to buy! HA! Keep it up Bo, always supporting!
Nice review! I wonder if the top of the bag would flop all over when that tech pouch is filled up. Is there a risk it would flop forward and small items could slip out of the pouch? A zipper close might be more practical.
They came up with their new Tech Sling at the same time... seems to me they could have left the pouch out of the bag with a little more integration of the sling-into-a-pouch, rather than make something so duplicative also un-removable from the bag. Beyond that... this thing looks great to me -- almost ideal for back-to-the-office should -that day come.
i don't know how i feel about the main compartment (reverse clampshell). So basically if i cant fit my loadout into their pockets, it'll be hard to put it in the main compartment since the clamp opens weirdly and there isn't much of space inside?
I agree with your approach with starting on the negatives. I look at the negative reviews on products first and see if they're "show-stoppers". By the way...it seems like you are talking more softly than usual.
Loved this unboxing/review, didnt know this company existed until now, shame the bags are only coming out in april.. Definately on top of my watchlist now. Been looking for a sleek yet practical work backpack. Currently using the Rogue econyl utility backpack which is pretty but has some shortcomings. Also considering the boundary supply prima 2.0 for a travel bag... any thoughts on that?

Hi Bo, Ich hab den Forge 20 und liebe ihn. Er ist perfekt für meine Wochenend-Trips (2 Übernachtungen). Ist mir aber zu "bulky" für den Daily Office Job. Ich bin Informatiker. Ich wechsel zwischen HomeOffice und CityOffice. Dabei transportiere ich ein MacBook Pro 16", ein paar EDC Items (wie Powerbank, Kabel, Adapter etc.), eine Lunchbox und ne Getränkeflasche. Dafür ist der Forge 20 einfach to much. Ich suche quasi eine "immer dabei" Tasche. Die ich auch mal in nem Kaffee zu nem Businessmeeting mitnehmen kann. Was mich am Shadow (22) gestört hat, war die fehlende Flaschenhalterung aussen. Ich hab irgendwie Angst, Flüssigkeit zu meinen ganzen Habseligkeiten zu packen. :-) Vielleicht hast du ja einen Tip. The idea of the top compartment is really great. But at the same time it is a pain just because of its unadjustable. (really like this kind of quick review, especially when we are surrounding by COVID. Stay healthy, stay strong💪🏻)

Do you know any backpack that doesn't cost $300 and are similar to the atd1 and to Alpha 31 in the sense that are good daily carries but have this roll top design that expands above 40 liters?
Question for a backpack expert like you: ¿Im looking for a backpack for gym and beach, Im looking for a militar or sport looking, not a serius looking, can you recomend me something under 100 euros?
