I have watched this Vlog several time, and honestly Michael and Stephanie have a magic that is so lively fun and special! I feel sad that their Vlog relationship has ended. A big loss for us all.
That accordion player is Christian Bassoul, he was my 'landlord' when I rented an apartment, very near that location, from him on Rue Mouffetard (back in 2009) the nicest man, and quite the musician, Elvis was "Mr. Vegas", Christian is "Mr. Mouffetard".
@@saradastrickman6406Michael petherick does have his own channel called “doing it ourselves” shoving his family frbivare the chateau his sister in law and brother own. Their parents and sister and her daughter also live there. His brother has his own channel too, so does his sister .
I feel the same. What a glorious time they had and I felt so happy watching them! Loved the cool hotel suite and all brocante shopping. Thank you to Stephanie, Philip and Michael for taking us along. All the best to you from SW Florida.
I love the relationship, they are beautiful together. Lower the volume, focus on the positive. Stephanie is very positive never crabby or annoyed. I like her energy. Love is ageless, people should mind their business. I love to know about the play Philip was in.
I ADORE how so many of you chateau owners are friends and associate often! The best vlogs are the ones where you "cross-over" with each other to share your experiences!
Binge watching all your videos! My fiancé is 17 years younger and a Scot, I am Dutch 😊 Celebrated our 12 years anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Much love to both of you lovely couple!
Having just watched episode “…..My Boyfriend Revealed….”…… it now seems any future episode just has an extra level of sweetness🌸 - extra special for sure ! 🌸Thank you for this happiness! 🇨🇦
My favorite part was watching how many times Phillip attempted to eat his whiskey truffle thinking it was time and then having to pull back. Too funny :)
Booked our stay at the Hotel Monte Cristo Paris after watching your wonderful vlog. We are going to France to celebrate our 50th anniversary, and I've been looking for the perfect hotel. Thanks to you, I've found it. Thank you. I appreciate and enjoy your videos so much. Thank you, Stephanie. Thank you.
Because you absolutely need to know, Stephanie, the 50's American automobile at your Paris hotel was, as Philip pointed out, a Cadillac -- and the name Cadillac has very French roots. The first Cadillacs were built in Detroit in 1902 by Henry Leland who named the car after Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, an early 18th century French explorer who founded the city, which was part of New France at the time. Cadillac is also the name of the French town in the Department of Gironde just south of Bordeaux. Better yet, the impressive Castle of the Dukes of Epernon Cadillac, built in the 16th century, is open to visitors. Could it be worth a Chateau Diaries vlog?
You are so right, skimp where you can, so you can splurge when you want to! Finding your Grandmother's cutlery gives me hope... I have been looking for the coffee pot to my Grandmother's china since I was a teenager! I KNOW it exists (I have the demitasses)!! I am so happy that the 3 of you got together for a bit! You deserve a break after the past week or so!!
@Derrick Langford I noticed she only started doing that when Michael Petherick entered the picture, in order to distinguish between the two of them. But it is fun!
17:55 to 19:05 was my favourite part. I literally could not move from there. I kept playing it over and over again. So much fun. I eventually watched the rest.
The first time my husband took me to France we visited La Fayette I was totally blown away at how beautiful the interior is . We lunched outside and enjoyed the view of the Eiffel Tower and it’s surrounds. Maybe this year we’ll return and also our other favourite places in Italy. 🇦🇺🙋♀️
It so special that you found the cutlery! Paris always seems to have a bit of magic in store. Also, I am fully in support of those rose plates for valentine's day from the previous vlog. The lip balm is lovely! If you can't be naughty sometimes, what's the point? You work so hard. Thank you, as always, for sharing such delights with us. Now I'm off to watch Michael's vlog!
Thank you for taking us along on your trips. I was so blown away by the designer "Sunset Suite" in the Hotel by the river and now I have fallen in love with the flame pattern on the carpet and wall paper. It is better than any magazine.
It’s so true that when you finally think you’ll never do or find something, that’s when you find it! I found my grandmothers same China pattern in a random antique shop recently and she bought hers in the 50s I believe. I saw it and was shocked. It’s great to feel connected to those we have lost.
Thank you so very much for sharing this with all of us. I’m a NYC girl for 5 generations and I love it to the marrow of my bones. Having said that, Paris is the most beautiful city in the world and the people are lovely. I can’t wait to go back.
Very happy and glad to see and discover very beautiful and old historical places with a very nice and wonderful people each video brings happiness to me thx
The lipbalm part reminded me of when I had my very first bank account and card for the first time, I went to the Galeries Lafayette and bought myself a Chanel lipstick as my first purchase.
When I worked next to the Samaritaine I would go buy a Chanel lipstick everytime I was a bit down. I counted over 50 of them one day ! Over a few years I add !
Fifty, really? Sad to realise that your days in Paris were not always that upbeat as the one Stephanie shared in this video. Hope you're doing better now ;)
@@marlenebos6140 Well it mostly came down to too much work. In fashion the days and weeks are long and rest isn't often on the menu so I popped across the road and aimed straight for Chanel whose products are amazing. Sadly the old Samaritaine is now a hyper-luxury venue that has surely lost most of it's charm in exchange for more boutiquiness ! Back i nthe day I met my partner there and we were together for 20 years and still best friends and neighbours ! Another Philippe !
Thank you @@TheFiown for your response. My remark was meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. In fact I'm somewhat jealous of anyone who has/had the chance to live and work in Paris for a while. But I also fully understand that the life/work balance is a challenge there, as in most big cities. Fun fact to find out that you Stephanie, had a partner also called Philip (although with double p and e). Enjoy your weekend (perhaps with some Outlander vibes? Are you a fan?). Grts from Northern Ireland.
Oh that little square at Rue Moufftard brought back old memories… I really love Paris in the fall, October being my fave month when the scent of roaste chestuts hangs over the Jardin Luxembourg, and I’m in the mood for red wine or a ’tipunch. Guessing you chose the right hotel for the latter! Such a lovely view, love the Paris rooftops eith all those thousands of terracotta chimney cylinders… NOT shopping alot in Paris is difficult, I’m seriously impressed. Been years since I was there, adding ”covid” even longer. Crazy how time flies. Fun video, have fun! And toi toi Philip!
thankyou steff for taking us to paris with you. Such beauty the streets the skyline and the Eifel tower wow .The brocante was amazing and you were meant to complete your grandmothers cutlery set.
I know how happy you must be to have found your grandmother's cutlery set. My father brought home a china set from Japan during the Korean War, called Golden Autumn by Rayku. I now have it but it is missing some pieces and I just can't find any replacements. If I ever come across it, I will be just as excited as you are.
I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog! Made me a bit nostalgic for the older vlogs :) and Michael is right, you are allowed to buy yourself a lipstick (or whatever else you want) and please don’t ever feel bad or like you have to justify it. Life is for living and enjoying.
Even though I’m so sorry someone told your story of you and Philip, it just seems all the sweeter to watch your videos and know that you’re a couple. So happy you have your cutlery set complete and that you were reunited with Michael P in Paris!! How fun!! Will miss Philip, but thrilled he’s doing something that he loves. 💗
What video was it that spilled the proverbial beans? Anyone know? Unfortunate in some ways but likely a relief in the long run. I am very happy for them. Such lovely people!
@@kathleenclark5877 UK T.V Channel 4 disclosed that Philip was her boyfriend in their recent Chateau DIY. Think you can only see this in UK. It was a shame. Perhaps it might have been sensible to ask to see the footage before it went public.
Dawn Butler: thanks for the information. Although they would likely have wanted their private lives kept private (blogging about the everyday lives of the chateau inhabitants notwithstanding), it really IS sweet to know and I’ll bet that many of us were starting to pick up wee clues here and there that, on reflection, make complete and utter sense now. I feel sure I am not the only one. At any rate, it is really nice to know that positive things can happen despite Covid conditions.
@@kathleenclark5877 yes he is a nice young serious man but there is still a lot of chemistry between Stephanie and Michael. He brings out the fun naughty side of her. Take care
I love Stephanie and Phillip togeather! Did anyone else think of SNL with Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake doing a spoof of the Beegee's Andy Gibb talk show., when Stephanie and Phillip were sing in the car!! I could not stop laughing 🤣
What a delightful video, I smiled and laughed through the whole thing, what fun...I want to be there too...sighhhh...I guess I'll fix a rum cocktail since I'm in Florida so close to Cuba...cheers...!
