That's all ok, but you didn't mention heart rate... The goal is not only to increase speed, but also to run in a heart rate zone that is not dangerous for the runner (amateur). So - be careful with the number of beats!
@LGTVQHD
@LGTVQHD 28 дней назад
Man, wish I knew that when I started. I trained for the first month with a heart rate ranging from 190 to 208. My average used to be 194. After a month my body broke so bad, It took me 2 to 2.5 months to start again.

@@LGTVQHD Might have happened to me also, every time I try working out again I tend to start off where I left off. Instead I should probably try to ease back in.

Thanks - can we get a dedicated video on topics like how to get a good stride angle and arm swings? This and the last videos are almost similar 😅

Great suggestion, thanks! I should redo these previous videos of mine on exactly those topics, as it's they're a few years old now... Thanks so much for this video! Realized from this I am slouching forward way too much.. Anyone have opinions about running on bitumen road vs concrete path? I realize concrete is a harder surface and thus causes more impact, but my local concrete path is a straight-line run - whereas on bitumen road I'm having to make frequent turning maneuvers to run around parked cars which feels like it also impacts my knees.

Hi, Just started watching your videos. I was wandering if i could ask a question, why my fore arms hurt when I run up hills at a fast pace or in fast runs with a distance of 3k-6k. 😊

Great to have you here! Sounds like you’re clenching your fists and holding a lot of tension there when working hard on the run. Sound familiar?

I have pain in my heel area the past 2 months, which has prevented me from running. It's pretty frustrating as I want to run daily. At first, I thought it was achillies, but the degree of pain is not improving. I can walk with a small level of pain, but as soon as I try to run and put more force through my heel, the pain becomes too much .. from my own research, I think it may be a calcaneus bone issue, but I'm not 100% sure. Have you any experience with that issue. Also, I am a heel striker, so I wonder if I learned to swith my landing to mid foot would it help in the future if I get back on my running feet.
@ukaszkanicki6695
@ukaszkanicki6695 Месяц назад
It looks like a plantar fasciitis. It is because of tension in Achilles and sole. You should do/use (I don't know exact word in English) shockwave. More- You should stretch Achilles and sole - exercises on the stairs, rolling by silicon ball . BUT the first of all go to sport physiotherapist and the best : to running sport physiotherapist.
@garrettkelly5568
@garrettkelly5568 19 дней назад
@ukaszkanicki6695 from what I can see I would feel pain on the soul of my foot if it was plantar fascitis but there is no pain in that area at all. Its just right on the heel bone itself .. frustrating

i find myself almost struggling to get enough air when doing 33 but 22 sounds a bit like hyperventilating. (im training to run a sub 12min 3km so it has to be at good speed for a short amount of time..) if i breathe into my stomach still is that fine? with 33 i find myself gasping for air more

Hi, I’ve been dealing with patellar pain, any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help
@gtb5298
@gtb5298 2 дня назад
A couple of things to try that worked for me. 1) Stretch your hips and outer legs before and after each run. 2) Incorporate exercises that work your IT band (the ligament that connects your hip to your knee). These can include squats, side leg lifts, and curb steps. 3) As you run, pay attention to your posture and form. There are probably very minor adjustments such as straightening your back or lifting your knees a bit higher that will reduce the pressure that it put on them. IT band syndrome (aka Runner's Knee) is one of the more common running injuries. Thankfully there are many resources you can look up about treating it. So, if these suggestions don't work, there's plenty of other things you can try.

Are you still on maf? I did for 5 months with no improvements, I begun with 146 bpm at 8:40/km and using my apple watch I did same bpm at 7:40 after 2 months then I decided to switch to h9 polar and the nightmares begun. Maintaining the same bpm ma pace went back to 8:00 then 8:20 then 8:40 on the 4/5 month. I threw my HR monitor and now I just run easy by maintaining nose breathing if my breathing becomes heavy then I slow down. Anyway with talk test without any struggle I can easy run at 160bpm and I am 38 years old. Why Maf not working for me? But need to admit that my cadence has improved a lot by running slow.
