Perfect Simple Welding table!! Re-purposing junk!

This table has annoyed me for years! Too big, too high and extremely awkward! A day or so of work, with very little additional materials and I have the perfect welding/fabrication table for MY use.

Good job. I have a table similarly sized. I thought about the square mount for the vise but opted to use a pipe. One larger pipe in the table edge as a hole. The other smaller slip pipe mounted to the vise. It slips in and allows a 360 swivel and is removable.

I recently built a welding table in my shop, interesting that I started with 4x4 dimensions and ended up cutting it down to 4x3, must be the perfect size for shops our size. I haven’t finalized a plan for my vise because I’m a little concerned about how it’s going to function being mounted on something with wheels but maybe I’m just being too picky lol. Nice work and really enjoying the content.

Thanks for watching and the comment. It seems to be just the right size. I don't really pound on anything enough for it to be a problem with rolling around. The table is heavy enough. Also, if you did adjustable feet that come down, like outriggers, you could have it on those when you want, and then raise them and be on wheels when you need to move it. Also good for leveling it. That's my thoughts. I'm glad you're enjoying the content.

Thanks! I'm a licensed Millwight and Electrician. Welding and fabrication carried me through both trades. I'm doing something a bit different now, but I had welding certifications in multiple processes and positions until about 2016. Glad you enjoyed the video.
