@@ccdrums1290 they didn't have many concerts in 80 that i can recall but . I lived in Connecticut at the time . Summers there and School year with my mom in Texas. 1980 September they were supposed to be in Massachusetts... of course school was starting so had to leave . But i got a better surprise in Texas the showed up for Halloween in Dallas with Jethro Tull. I lived in Houston so a bit of a commute... well worth it.
Wow very cool. I grew up in central Pennsylvania, now residing in Atlanta. I regret not going to more concerts, would have loved to have seen the big groups from back in those days. I had tickets for Zeppelin but they canceled due to Plant’s son dying. Saw the original AC/DC and UFO, the Carpenters haha (I was in 8th grade, girlfriends mom took us) The Guess Who and some other cool ones. I regret not seeing Deep Purple, Zeppelin, the Who etc. Sounds like you had an interesting child hood!
@@ccdrums1290 hey Karen Carpenter was one of the best drummers you will ever see . I would put her up there with Buddy Rich And Niel Peart. I love the Carpenters.
I think she was one of, if not the greatest female vocalist of all time. I don’t remember much, but I do remember them doing “Goodbye to love” …..it was the most recent hit they had at the time and I loved it because it had a rock guitar solo in it. They sounded phenomenal, layered harmonies and great songs.
