Perfect Strangers Falling in Love is Ending 

This was one of the strongest scenes of the entire series. It really pulls you in to the situation and the emotion, and both Bronson and Mark did amazing work here. Even the background music was very well done for this scene.

Wonderfully acted. It's one of those scenes that causes me to feel the character's pain.

I've been watching the whole series again on FreeVee and just saw this episode....sure I saw it as a child but it really hits home now. Goodness, these two have a bond like brothers. I love that they are so close in real life. Scenes like these don't feel "acted"...they feel real. Beautifully, heartbreakingly done. Also thank God for Mary Ann later in the series for marrying our beloved Balki!!

That was _way_ more emotional than I'd anticipated. Kudos to both actors for pulling that off so well.

I wish they'd done more episodes like this one. Just masterful. To me, anyone who could treat Balki that way is a heartless monster.

I remember reading that right about the time they filmed this, Mark Linn Baker's father died. Bronson Pinchot wasn't acting - he was genuinely upset for Mark.

Amazing episode. Shows today lack this kind of warmth.

Life lesson of this episode.... Sometimes in life and in every relationship, you get hurt but its not your fault. I felt sorry for Balki as I’m sure lots of people did

I have been in the same boat. I had been used and hurt by women through out my life. But you know what? It was all worth it because i found the love of my life! She has been by my side for 16 years and i love her with all my heart and soul. So anyone out there who has had their heart broken be patient. There is someone out there for you.

This is exactly how cousins should treat each other. with love and care. :)

Aww! I would have dated Balki! I'm glad he found Mary Anne though. And I'm glad he had Larry in his life.

Made me cry as much as the last scene in Bye Bye Biki, when he says goodbye to his Yaya Biki.

You know, there's a part of me that wishes there had been an episode that involved the return of Carol ... just so we could see Balki stand up to her. I think he deserved that chance.

Whenever I see this episode, it reminded me of the time I went to this house of the boy I liked from school, his mother told me he had a steady girlfriend (which he didn’t tell me about) and then she told me not to bother to stop by! I went through that same situation as Balki!

My favorite episode

This is one of the saddest episodes of the show. Also it’s one of the rare times when Larry was right about what he was warning Balki about.

Awww, this scene....the pain feels so real. Your heart really hurt to see Balki in this much distress. You were so used to seeing him happy and easy going that to see him cry from heartbreak was almost too much to bare. And we all hated Carol for hurting him like this. Ya just wanted to wrap your arms around him and squeeze the pain away. We love you Balki!!!!

I'm sad I had a friend who broke up with me as a friend . I moved on with my life. But I was sad thoe because he married this girl who wasn't nice and they didn't invite me to the wedding Heidi

Man, it's not hard to find the theme song to this show... but I sure wish there was a soundtrack somewhere where ou could get all the incidental music cues. This show was always so beautifully scored.

This episode was like the spices which made Perfect Strangers such a great show. There are few others like it which have a very warm ending. Also surprisingly this episode came few episodes after the one when Balki met his future wife Mary-Ann for the first time and reaped that cardiovascular benefit 😄

Bronson sold this scene very well. This is one hell of a performance and one of the best scenes in the whole series.

All in all, I felt so sorry for Balki in this clip because I understood how it’s like to be heartbroken (which I experienced through my past exes)

After not seeing this show for a long time, I squalled the first time I watched it again - a long time ago. So not cool.

I understand what Balki is going through because I knew a girl that broke my heart too. She was only interested in me because she was mad at her boyfriend who she said she was breaking up with (yeah right!). She strung me along making me believe that something was going to happen between us. But in the end, she was only using me to get back at her boyfriend who she never intended to leave. When I confront her about this. She called me a “moron” and said “what made you think I was even interested in you?” She even struck me too while she said it! Fortunately, for Balki he has Larry to help him through it. I didn’t, my so called “friends” made fun of me for it. Not friends with them anymore! This was thirty years ago, and I still remember it. I’ve made my peace with it, but I’ll never forget it nor will I forgive her for it.
