I am almost 42 and I am so grateful that I was alive at a time that this show could be a meaningful aspect of my life.

Never had I heard a theme that best depicts the 80's.

I know this will seem so dumb.. but when I was little boy we watched this show every week.. This song made me cry.. It still tears me up today.. not sure why.. it just is hopeful

This song encapsulates the essence of the 80's American dream. I miss classic pop tv theme songs. "Standing tall - on the wings of my dreams" Pure gold.

The 80s had some of the best tv show themes.This one is especially fantastic and still holds up.

They don't make tv shows like this anymore, these were the best.

Mom loved this show gave us lots of innocent laughs, Thank you Mom isn’t with us now but this theme song can be like a time machine almost as if Mom is sitting next to me. I forgot what a wonderful song it is full of life and encouragement for the best life potential in us all and to reach for it. I recognized the song watching American Dad giving it a nod in season 18 episode 3.

After surviving 2020 this song gives me alot of hope.

Makes me feel deeply nostalgic for the 80s. It was a decade of hope when I think we were encouraged to stand tall just like in this song. The world could do with more of that I think.

I love "Perfect Strangers," i watched this show every Friday nights on ABC's TGIF back when I was a kid.

When Stan started singing this in one of the newer American Dad episodes, I laughed my ass off. Even funnier was when he temporarily forgot the lyrics and had to pull out his phone to find them… while driving. 😂

One of my favourite sitcoms. Thank you Warner for releasing the entire series on DVD. This song deserved an album!

45 now, crazy that all i watch on tv now is the news , and that's because nothing close to shows like this have been made for 25+ years.

So much nostalgia packed into one beautiful TV show... A beautiful story of a guy who goes to America to fufill his dreams... It is unbelievably disgusting how we went from shows like THIS, to the Kardashians. My mom told me people lost their creative grip when the Internet became Mainstream. I miss the nostalgia like these 80's shows... I just wish there was a TV channel dedicated to these types of shows on ALL platforms. I just wish we all got our grip on creativity back...

I'm younger so I grew up in the age of the Vine app and RU-vid where you can rewatch those old classic vines (since the app no longer exists), short videos that now 20+ yr-olds loved when they were in Middle school and high school. One of them that was my favorite videos used this song in it and it made me want to watch this show. The song is really good! So many TV shows out there but I'm always interested in watching these old iconic shows too. One episode down and I already really like it lol
